Noisy room. It is impossible to sleep while the air conditioner is running. It sounds like there is a truck working in the room. Even if you switch it off and try to sleep while sweating, another vibration sound pops-up from time to time to annoy you. No solution provided because there is no other room with the same size.

Restaurant is not working during the day and the evening. No lunch, no dinner, only breakfast. There was a reasonable breakfast.

No wifi connection.

Good location: close by the main road and with Tesla superchargers. Consider sleeping in the car instead of paying €100+ and staying awake during the night because of the noise.

Arriving there was an internet outage that wasn't resolved when I left. That meant I couldn't get two rooms side a side as per expectation.

We faced a long journey back in our campervan with our two dogs from the south of France to Nottingham in England. We decided to break up the journey by booking two overnight stays. One here in Dijon and another the night after in Calais.

Both hotels were budget, and cost a similar amount of money, but were worlds apart in general standards and in the way we felt welcomed on arrival and bid farewell on departure.

The Greet Hotel in Dijon was relatively easy to find, and offered plentiful parking. Situated amongst the cluster of other hotels, in an industrial type area out of town, we were welcomed by their staff in a very friendly manner. The gentleman who checked us in spoke excellent English. The building is fresh and well decorated, and generally appealing to the eye. Our room, albeit small, was air-conditioned. This was more than welcome on what was a very warm day and evening and early morning to follow. Overall, the room was clean, and the general decor was excellent. The shower and toilet area were good and the bed was comfortable.

Unlike the second hotel we stayed in the following day, the Greet Hotel allows an area to eat inside the hotel with your dogs present. But because the weather was so good, we ate with our dogs outside. Breakfast was fine, with a choice of cold meats, eggs and juices. Plus coffee from a machine, which was very good.

On departure, we met a new member of staff who again was friendly and courteous when we left.

Overall, we were both very impressed with the Greet Hotel Dijon. It is a no-frills hotel – obviously at the price that we paid. But it was welcoming an approach and everything that was offered in the hotel was of a good standard. I see no reason whatsoever to deduct any stars from my rating for this hotel. Perfect, in particular, if you are looking for a one or two nights stay in the area.
