You can walk along the causeway/bridge to get to the isand or take the "free" shuttle buses. These run very frequently and the last bus back from the island leaves at 23.00. Dogs are not allowed on the bus.
HOWEVER, you are paying indirectly for the shuttle bus due to the daily 10,50€ access charge to the area if your vehicle has to go through the barrier. We stayed here for 9 nights so it adds a significant amount to the cost.
The site is level and peaceful with mature trees offering shade.
The toilet block is dated and could do with refurbishment. The showers and toilets are unisex. You are given one magnetic fob to open the door.
However, the toilet waste disposal facility is not up to standard. You have to empty the caravan toilet cassette at the same place as the motorhomes empty their waste.
There are no washing machines on site but there is a self service laundrette in the car park on the local Carrefour supermarket 7km away.
There are restaurants nearby and a Brioche Dorée shop selling bread, cakes and sandwiches.
Large pitch for motor home.
Electric was good as was Internet.
Safe, quiet, clean and tidy site.
Plenty of toilets, showers and wash rooms, very clean.
Friendly reception.
Lovely bread and croissants available for breakfast. Just ask.
Good selection of restraunts around site...we had our own cheese and wine first night, then ate out for second night
Pay for parking on way out of site but still fantastic value for money.
Stayed 2 nights...perfect.
I cannot understand negative reviews of previous guests...do not let them put you off visiting
