Lovely 2 bedroom self catering cottage adjacent to the main B&B in Ducey, perfect for a stopover for a night or more. Great location for visiting mont st michel. Ideal for a family of four or one or two couples. Duvey is a pretty village inle 2-3 miles off the A84/N175

✨ A Hidden Gem Near Mont Saint-Michel!

I had a lovely stay at this charming cottage. The garden is absolutely wonderful—peaceful, beautifully maintained, and the perfect spot for a morning coffee or family dinners.

The house itself was tastefully decorated and very well equipped, with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

The location couldn’t be better: just a short drive to stunning beaches and the magical Mont Saint-Michel.

The hosts were kind and helpful throughout our stay, always available if we had questions or needed suggestions. Their warm hospitality truly made it feel like a home away from home.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for a restful retreat! ☺️

We had a wonderful stay at Nathalie’s charming cottage. The location is peaceful and idyllic – perfect for relaxing after a busy day.

On our way to the Mont-Sant Michel monastery we stopped at La Rose de Ducey. It turned out to be an excellent choice!!! Mini Versailles :-)
The decor of the entire hotel is refined in the smallest detail. We were and are enchanted by this place.

The charming hostess Nathalie, exceptionally nice, helpful and attentive to the needs of guests.

Delicious breakfasts, plus delicious homemade cakes, all served on beautiful tableware. The entire house is surrounded by a well-kept and colorful garden.
Another highlight of the stay was the excellent English that Nathalie spoke, which was a huge help to us

La Rose de Ducey is a peaceful and beautiful place to stay. Nathalie is a warm and welcoming host, she is truly the heart of the house. J’ai mis 5 étoiles car Google ne permet pas mettre plus.
Ayant voyage partout en France, je trouve cette maison est la meilleur que j’ai vécu, à la fois le service, la propreté, la décoration, la finition etc.
J’ai également voyagé en Moyen Orient et en Asie. Je peux confirmer que cette maison contient à la fois la qualité de service asiatique et un niveau d’art français. Avec un qualité prix merveilleux.
Il faut aussi noter un beau jardin et le petite jeunet soigneusement préparé par la propriétaire à la maison.
Sans doute, mon premier choix quand j’y retrouverai.

Nous vous recommandons vivement ce gîte. Très bien à tous niveaux : déco, propreté, fonctionnel, au calme et avec un jardin très agréable. Nathalie est attentionnée pour ses hôtes (cadeau de bienvenue, biscuits et boissons dans chaque chambre, mignonnettes de gel cheveux et douche, crème pour le corps... Comme à l'hôtel. À refaire avec grand plaisir.

Fantastic B&B in Ducey. We arrived tired after a long day cycling - and were greeted to an amazingly comfy room, in a great location. Plenty of restaurants nearby (we opted for pizza, which was delicious). Comfy beds, powerful hot shower; and the cutest dog!

The proximity to Mont St Michel is ideal if you are planning to visit.

The breakfast was hearty and plentiful. We felt extremely welcome and looked after. Would definitely stay again!

Quel enchantement.|Malgré notre reseravtion last minute, nous avons été trés bien accueillis par notre hôte.|Nous étions 4 (2 adultes et 2 ados) la suite la Rose était parfaite pour nous. Les 2 chambres étaient séparées par un couloir privatif et avait chacune une salle d'eau, trés partique le matin pour se préparer vite pour aller visiter le Mt St Michel.|Les lits étaient si confortable que nous aurions bien fait une grasse matinée, mais grâce au classeur mis à disposition ( une vrai mine d'information) dans les chambres, nous avions toutes les infomations pour organiser la suite de notre séjour.|Le petit déjeuner était copieux,excellent, et grace à l'organisation de la propriétaire, il était adapté à nos besoins et sans gachis.|Nathalie, la propriétaire était d'ailleurs trés prevenante et a su être de bons conseils pour que nous trouvions une table pour dîner.

La propriétaire, Nathalie, a été aux petits soins pour nous , même si nous aviosn réservé last minute.
Elle a su nous indiquer une bonne table pour diner et nous renseigner pour notre visite au Mt St Michel le lendemein. D'ailleurs elle met a disposition une gros classeur qui est une mine d'informations précieuses pour que le séjour soit au top.
Les chambres sont trés agréable et les lits confortable. On voir que notre hôte a eu l'habitiude de l'excellence des grands hotels.

Not far from Mont-Saint-Michel sits the bustling little town of Ducey Les Cheris. It has been our pleasure to settle in the beautiful and comfortable cottage La Rose de Ducey for a week in October as the summer turned into autumn with the changing color of leaves. The theme of roses lives discreetly throughout the cottage and grounds. ||After easily locating the cottage, we had plenty of parking choices within less than a short block from the cottage. A must for those of us who independently ramble through France.||From the moment Nathalie opened the front gate we knew we would enjoy the informal garden blooming with late season flowers, as well as mature trees showering their golden leaves, and rose bushes at the end of their bloom. In summer, It must be a rainbow of color, and a bouquet of fragrance. One thing that amazed us was a camellia tree- the largest camellia tree we had ever seen which canopied the entire front yard! All well tended.||Another welcome gift was the flawless English language Nathalie spoke, which was a great help for us after 5 weeks limping through our limited abilities in other languages. Her bookkeeping was a gift since emails were not always reliable. This is a problem we had throughout our travels with our cell phone carrier in the U.S.||The cottage kitchen-dining area was filled with sun in the morning, exposure from the south and west windows. Loved the streams of warm sun making the outdoor chill vanish in the morning. There were plenty of matched drinking glasses and dishes in the orderly and well-stocked kitchen. We used the dishwasher regularly and the cooking range or microwave when needed.||It’s not often one is able to enjoy in a gite an attractively and newly furnished living room with leather settee, as well as a matching leather couch and swivel rocker. Nathalie has a “good eye” for giving guests an at home experience, which carried throughout the cottage.||Upstairs were 2 comfy bedrooms, and a bathroom with separate shower and plenty of hooks and towel racks, as well as extra towels. Throughout the cottage each room had efficient heat.||The information that was in the cottage identified restaurants and more informal eating places in town (a pizza shop is located about 25 steps from the cottage gate).|For a fine dining experience owned by a local family for 2-3 generations make a reservation at Auberge de la Sélune (Nathalie will make a reservation for you).|There is a large Carrefour in Ducey which stays open M-Sat until 7:30PM, and 12:30PM on Sunday. As well as places to explore, such as Mont-Saint-Michel, Avranches (WWII site), the gorgeous Baie du Mount-Saint-Michel with many points of access for walking, several WWII cemeteries, and lots of chateaux to scout out. ||It has its own small downtown, which hosts a weekly market day on Tuesday. ||This area of Normandie is a plethora of treasures to see. You need to talk with your inn keeper, the wait staff at restaurants, the tourism offices, and anytime you see a flyer posted for an even… or even a curious old road sign… adventure and beauty awaits.

Super séjour en chambre d'hôte ! Ma famille a été ravie d'y être ne serait-ce que le temps d'une nuitée. Nathalie est aux petits soins. Nous étions dans une suite avec 2 chambres et petit salon avec salle de bain privative. Le petit salon était convertible pour y faire une 3ème chambre. Chaque chambre a un petit coin lavabo. La décoration est magnifique c'est un dépaysement total. Les lieux sont propres et des petites attentions se retrouvent dans chaque pièces de la suite (eau et petits biscuits sablés, bonbons, thé, carafes d'eau dans le mini frigo). Le point fooort c'est le petit déjeuner !!! C'est pour moi un élément important du séjour, et nous étions unanimes sur le fait qu'il était parfait, copieux et de qualité. De belles vaisselles, une belle présentation... je recommande les lieux sans hésiter !!

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans la magnifique Suite de la Rose. Deux chambres à la décoration soignée, un calme absolu et une magnifique vue sur le jardin. Le petit-déjeuner est excellent, avec des produits frais et locaux, et servi dans un salon charmant et chaleureux. Et l'accueil de Nathalie est parfait (petites attentions dans les chambres, conseils de visites). La Rose de Ducey est de plus idéalement placée, au cœur de Ducey et de ses restaurants et à un quart d'heure du Mont Saint-Michel. Une adresse exceptionnelle !
