Interesting window on the fall, captivity and liberation of Cherbourg. Better if you can read French, there is some translation of captions, but a lot is in French only.

Disappointing. Most of the exhibits are in French so unless you speak the language the museum isn’t very interesting. They have obviously made a lot of effort to put together this collection of artefacts in this old historic building but I couldn’t really understand what I was being shown.
You do get an English leaflet but it only has a brief description of the museum.
It’s a bit of walk uphill to get to the museum and there are some nice views of the harbour.
