A very small cocktail bar with very few seats and unique cocktails. The waiter was very informative about everything that was on the menu and helped us choose our tasteful drinks. The bar’s decoration was cozy and welcoming, definitely we will visit again.

Lovely bar, cozy and peaceful. My partner and I had two drinks here for over an hour and a half. Service was highly knowledgeable and offered personalised drinks to our taste. More of a date night experience than the overcrowded tourist areas. As other reviews have said, press the buzzer outside and wait for there to be a table available.

So glad we went here! My husband and I were in agreement on the 5 star rating and that never happens. He had a modern twist on an old fashioned and I had a lovely peach drink. We enjoyed the atmosphere. And lived the secret door!

100% recommend! Matthew took care of us and he was a doll! So sweet and thorough when he greeted us and explained the menu. They update the menu every season. We ordered everything he recommended and they were delicious. Everything at this place was well thought out. So much care and thought was put into the decorations, even the receipt and menus!

Rosalia's betovert met zijn unieke cocktailervaring en intieme sfeer. Elke drankje is een kunstwerk, perfect gebalanceerd en creatief gepresenteerd. Het personeel deelt graag hun kennis over de exotische ingrediënten en de verhalen achter de cocktails. What a delightful little gem of a place. You'd almost walk past this place if you didnt know of it. We were reccommended to give it a visit and it did not dissappoint. Its a cute little place with live cocktails made. Welcomed by the nice informative ushers and bar staff. Marvelous drinks both visually and tastefully. It could be considered a little pricey but it is in a city centre i was happy with the class and dignity of this special little trinket. I had the whiskey mix corn corn corn with the cut of orange peel and block ice it was really nice and my wife had the daquiri that was very elegant and served in a classy cocktail flute. She said it was delicious, sweet yet strong for a small drink. A must visit in amsterdam. We would return and will recommend to everyone. Thanks fellas and good mustâche game on all of you

Well, didn’t have a chance to enter the establishment as after we rang the bell the guy told us they were closed despite there were many people inside. Believe me, I’m from New York and have been to many speakeasy and upscale bars. This one is not even speakeasy. Shame in you and your way of treating tourists. That guy was the worst person (and a liar eventually) I’ve met in Amsterdam.

İçeride masa sayısı çok az içeri girmek için zile basmanız ve görevlinin kapıyı açmasını beklemeniz gerekiyor. Eğer müsait bir masa varsa sizi içeri davet ediyor. Kendi içerisinde oldukça gizemli bir mekan olduğunu söyleyebilirim. Biz akşam saatlerinde gittik ilgi oldukça yüksekti ve kapıda yaklaşık 20 dakika bekledik. Beklediğimize kesinlikle değdi ve mekandaki en güzel köşeye oturabildik???? çok ilgili ve nazik bir garson bize hizmet etti. Favori kokteylimiz Sicilian Sour!✨ tek kelimeyle müthiş!! Mutlaka deneyin. Amsterdam gibi büyülü bir şehirde bir kez daha büyülendiğimiz bir deneyim yaşattığınız için teşekkür ediyoruz. Mutlaka tekrar geleceğiz.

Easily the best cocktail around town. Menu is not huge but I assure you none of the drinks will be a disappointment. We cleared the menu here and had an amazing time!

Single male, stayed two nights. For the price it is just amazing. Top room. It is just great. It is like a small bar/hotel. Boutique hotel reflecting Amsterdam to the core. That house was probably built in the 1500's lol. Love it. Brick all the walls. Restroom is great, is big. Everything works. Bed is comfortable. And the location is fantastic is across the street from a metro station. And like 15 min walk to central station. Restaurants and food just right there. Breakfast is the cherry on top. Is so good and the cook, what a really nice guy. The other guys that work the bar and help you get the bag upstairs are great too...The steps are the steepest of all the steps I have ever seen before. Like 1500's staircase :) . If you have gone up the stairs to the dome of a cathedral like in Rome or in London, that is similar. I don't mind, is good work out. But if you fall you die lol. A+ hotel. Just stay.

When on a Business trip to Amsterdam I stayed just one night at Rosalia's Menagerie Inn Upstairs and I loved it... It has just 6 individually styled boutique rooms and mine (a King bed double) was comfortable and provided everything I needed for my stay. The owner Rachel Bonnewell was lovely and treated me with warmth and kindness from check in to check out, she was a perfect host. I loved the quirky decor and the personally prepared breakfast was delicious and a great start to my day walking Amsterdam. The hotel location was perfect also in Central Amsterdam, I literally walked everywhere during my 2 days in the City. My room was €150 per night with breakfast. The Inn is 'upstairs' and the stairs are typical of old Dutch houses in as much as climbing them is not for anyone who has ill health or mobility issues... Note there is no lift and the stairs are narrow, steep and twisty. I will certainly stay again and hope to do so in the Summer of 2024.

Updating as I returned here again in 2023. I enjoyed it just as much as the first time, great central location and the owners were absolutely fantastic to deal with as they were doing some small renovations on the bar and even arranged for us to eat breakfast at the cafe next door so we weren't interrupted. Definitely an experience with the Amsterdam stairs but even after some (many ????) drinks I was able to manage them no problem. We were in a canal facing room over a weekend and while there was some noise it was easily drowned out by the white noise machine provided in the room. Will continue to return when we visit Amsterdam

As someone else mentioned, this hotel is not awful, but I will never stay here again. They have a good idea with the bed and breakfast thing. The execution needs to be better.
- The breakfast is great. Really friendly and warm kitchen staff.
- Check in is clunky. The person at the bar seemed surprised to see me.
- The room I stayed in was old, but not in the charming way it was intended. Just kind of creepy and weird. Again, they TRY by putting in a coffee machine, having free snacks and robes. All great, but the bed was absolutely awful. It was the weird single beds that they just push together. Which I get is fairly normal in Europe. The mattress was SO hard, I could have slept on the floor and felt no difference. It just feels like it’s trying to be a boutique hotel. The downstairs is obviously much newer than the rooms. If the two matched it would be great.
- Stairs are vertical. Might as well just use a ladder. The staff is very helpful with bags, but I can’t imagine if someone is even a little drunk.
- room will be VERY loud all night if you are canal facing. They put a sound machine, but I used ear plugs
- walking through the bar seems fun, but it’s not. It’s a popular cute bar, but I missed traditional hotel lobbies.
- I interacted with the female owner once, she was very nice. I hope she gets this place up to its full potential by upgrading the rooms.

Amazing location, and very considerate, attentive staff, particularly in the morning with the very nice breakfast.

Some little details were very thoughtful - like a white noise in the room to cancel out street sounds. Some little details were missed - very cold in the room as radiators were turned off when we arrived, neither of the bedside lamps worked, shower gel and shampoo is great but there is no conditioner.

Even with those little things missed, we still had a lovely stay, I would happily recommend it, and would definitely stay there again.
