Great dinner there at our first night in Amsterdam. I assorted the assorted starters with bitterballens and croquettes while Mayisha ordered the steak with truffle fries.

The meal was delish and I can’t really think of any complaints. The staff was very nice and they even apologised on their own when it was taking a while for the food to come which I deeply appreciated. They have a nice indoor “secret” garden sort of thing inside the restaurant as well.

Altijd een plezier om bij Restaurant Herengracht te lunchen! Gisteren weer genoten van heerlijk eten en attente bediening. De gezellige sfeer maakt elke keer weer dat we ons thuis voelen. Een absolute aanrader voor een smakelijke en ontspannen lunchervaring!
De clubsandwich kip is een absolute aanrader. Smaakvol en rijkelijk gevuld, het is een genot voor de smaakpapillen. Een must-try tijdens je bezoek aan Restaurant Herengracht!"

worst experience i ever had. we were a big group of 10 people who came for beer and some food. We left in batches, and the first three to leave paid their share. The rest of us paid for ourselves. When I was the last one left, she says that everything was not paid, five beers remained. It wasn't on the world map that you could think of checking on the table how many beers we drunk and realize that you made a mistake. We requested receipts and therefore do not receive all, not from the first ones who left. As a restaurant worker myself, I understand that it could go wrong, but being rude, raising your voice and then refusing to check is not okay. the fault is that you did not remove the beer that the first gang took, which you refused to realize or control. 50 euros extra for your mistake.

I Will never recommend this place, from the rude service.

A very bad experience. The staff is rude, you have to wait a long time to even order and bad environment.

What made this such a bad experience was that we had to pay for 5 beers extra than what we had ordered. We were a large group and three people went and paid their bill then left. When the rest of the party was going to leave, we still had to pay for these three people's bill. When we explained to the staff, we were treated in an extremely bad way and they did not understand what had happened. We felt cheated! Do not go here.

I personally enjoyed the atmosphere of the place. Located in the heart of Amsterdam, Restaurant Herengracht is a welcoming place for locals and tourists. There is no need to explain how good the food is here. Especially, one of the guys who work in this place is very social, making this place even more attractive. Highly recommend this place!

Karakteristiek pand met restaurant met Nederlands Franse keuken. Leuk om te borrelen en te eten. Best aardige wijnkaart. Alleen jammer dat de rode wijn, waaronder Pinot Noir, op kamertemperatuur (ongeveer 21 graden) wordt geserveerd. Dat kan echt niet. Daarom eerst een witte wijn genomen (die wellicht iets te koud was) en daarna alsnog de rode wijn die een tijdje in de koelkast op temperatuur is gekomen.
Cheeseburger was prima. Frietjes iets te kort gebakken, nog niet goudbruin.

Apple pie was good but they forgot our order. It took 30 mins for an apple pie and the coffee was cold.

Heb hier twee keer gegeten in de laatste acht maanden. Beide keren was het eten matig, de bediening vriendelijk maar slordig en traag. Gisteren was het even de vraag of de koude frites van mijn vrouw, of de wachttijd op mijn steak nadat mijn drie tafelgenoten hun eten al hadden, het dieptepunt zou zijn. Met 20(!) minuten leek het de laatste te worden. Maar het werd de reactie van de bediening toen we na 25 minuten wachten op de desserts besloten te vertrekken. Op onze vraag om de desserts maar te cancellen en de rekening te brengen was de reactie "Ok, prettige avond verder". We hebben een paar straten verder maar een koffie met prima Baklava genomen, vlot en vriendelijk geserveerd.

Prachtige locatie, geweldig (deels authentiek) pand, mooie grote binnentuin. Lunch was heerlijk, de prijs verrassend: zeer aan te bevelen. Bediening goed en alert: graag weer!
