Great bar/restaurant! The coctails were nice, but not the best. I suggest order something simple as that can't go wrong. The staff are very nice and hard working but overwhelmed, waiting times for drinks can get quite long at times.

The College Hotel is a 4-star boutique hotel in a nineteenth-century building that used to be an all boys school. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to many of the city's attractions to include being walking distance to many of the museums we were interested in. The hotel reminded me a little of Hogwarts, which made it that much better. The hotel staff was great at guiding us where to go to eat and how to best get around Amsterdam. The room and bed were comfortable and it was cute that we were given a "school" bag and a map of the building when it used to be a school. We loved our stay and would highly recommend staying here.

This hotel is amazing. It's not big, only has about 40 rooms. But it is super convenient with easy access to many tram lines. And it is very close to all the museums, concert halls, and other cultural experience venues.

Moreover, because it's not huge, the staff can focus on really serving and meeting the customers needs. So their service is outstanding to say the least. We had an early check out because we need to catch an early flight at the airport. The staff was so kind that they prepare breakfast to go for us.

The rooms, and the entire hotel, used to be a school. So is still retains many of the classic look and feel. There's even a library, which serves as a reading room now for guests to do work or simply read some physical books. We would definitely stay here again when we visit Amsterdam.

Geen sfeerverlichting en/of dimbaar licht, zelfs bij het bed niet. Ook de luchtkwaliteit was niet in orde en de daarvoor bedoelde apparatuur maakte veel herrie. Tevens was de kamer bijzonder klein, echt een tegenvaller zeker gezien de prijs! €300,- voor één nacht!!!

Zéér teleurstellend

Wij waren met twee personen en hadden het standaard menu.

Veel en veel te lang wachten op je gerecht; na een kleine 3 uur alleen 1e twee voorgerechten gekregen. Meerdere keren vragen om 'versnelling' leverde niets op.

Als pescatariër kan ik dit met klem afraden. De keuken heeft geen idee hoe een smakelijk hoofdgerecht te bereiden voor pesca/vegetariërs. Ik kreeg nu een te gare en baggervette gefrituurde stronk bloemkool in een deegjasje.
Bah!

Gelukkig wel van bediening enige compensatie in de rekening gekregen.

Ik heb via de receptie een klacht ingediend bij de manager die niet aanwezig was. Hij zou via mail of 06 contact opnemen de volgende dag. Dut is niet gebeurd!

We really loved staying at this property and it was so charming during the Christmas holidays. Service was excellent, Juliana the receptionist had such a great attitude and was so welcoming. We did have one issue with the room but the kind manager, Mark made sure we were taken care of.

The location is close to many major museums and in a charming area away from all the tourists but with easy tram access and a short ride to the city center. Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic hotel in an idea location. The building itself is beautiful, with some unique architectural flourishes have been preserved and highlighted.

The hotel is close enough to all the museums and sights to make for an easy enough walk, but far enough out of the centre of the city that it’s quiet and peaceful in the mornings and the evenings.

The staff were very attentive and, at least for breakfast, the restaurant in the hotel was great. Some of the fixtures in the room are showing their age, but are nevertheless well-maintained. The shower was spacious, with good water pressure and hot water.

The location is super convenient.
So many trams to jump on & jump off.
& The market Albert Cuyp is just one stop away.
& It was indeed a college before it's hotel.
There's only 40 rooms but it's cozy & spacey.
I enjoy the hot tub every day from the freezing cold 0°C weather outside back to my room after everyday journey.

Charming, historic hotel. Just beautiful. Excellent breakfast, I recommend getting this included. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room small, but comfortable with everything you need. Will definitely stay again when I return to Amsterdam someday.

Zimmer in einem sehr schlechten Zustand mit vielen Flecken auf dem Teppichboden, auch Badewanne, die zum Duschen dient viele Flecken! Ungepflegt! Ganzes Personal in jedem Bereich unfreundlich und demotiviert. Sowohl an der Rezeption, wie beim Frühstück und Restaurant. Restaurant war eine absolute Katastrophe. Essen Top Qualität, aber der Service eine absolute Katastrophe! Über 3 Stunden haben wir auf die Vorspeise gewartet. Für das Hotel sind mir die Schlagworte: unfreundlich, demotiviert, kein Service und ungepflegt geblieben. Total schade, denn Lage ist gut für einen Städtetrip und das Gebäude, altes College, sehr schön. Für uns jedoch nie wieder!!!! Völlig überteuert und sicherlich kein Niveau, wie man es sonst von Boutique Hotels kennt!

Excellent service, fantastic location! When we arrived Juliana one of the staff members was able to get us a room upgrade and early check in! Would highly recommend to stay here!
