Un quattro stelle che fa impallidire tanti hotel della sua stessa categoria (ma chi assegna le stelle e con quali criteri?). Dalla camera, ai servizi, dalla posizione alla gentilezza del personale, tutto è organizzato in modo da rendere indimenticabile la permanenza nell'hotel. Nota speciale per Cloe e Marine, che con la loro gentilezza e professionalità hanno reso ancora piu speciale la nostra permanenza a Lione.

Avis négatif - Très déçus par notre séjour

Nous avons séjourné dans cet hôtel en couple pour un moment romantique, et malheureusement, l’expérience a été très décevante. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons constaté que le lavabo de la salle de bain était bouché. Impossible de l’utiliser normalement, ce qui est inacceptable pour un établissement de ce standing.

Autre point extrêmement regrettable : le mini-frigo ne fonctionnait pas. Nous avions choisi une bouteille de champagne à 68 €, espérant la déguster au frais pendant notre séjour. Résultat : la bouteille était chaude, inutilisable, et nous n’avons même pas pu en profiter.

Le pire, c’est que l’hôtel nous a accusés à tort d’avoir consommé la bouteille, alors que nous n’avons pas bu la boire faute de fraîcheur dans le mini bar, et d’avoir bouché le lavabo en prétendant que nous avions vomi dedans. Des accusations fausses, humiliantes et totalement déplacées.

Aucune solution proposée, aucun geste commercial, juste de la mauvaise foi et du mépris. Nous sommes sortis de ce séjour avec un profond sentiment d’injustice et de frustration.

Je déconseille fortement cet hôtel. Il est inadmissible de traiter des clients de cette manière.

It was a passing through stay on our way home, but what a lovely, inspiring sanctuary it was. Beautiful interior, friendly and passionate staff, delicious breakfast, nice location. We will be back for a longer stay.

I love boutique hotels with character and charm, and Hotel De L'Abbaye fit the bill. It is in a lovely location, my room was large and beautifully appointed. The food and staff were all amazing, and being a solo traveler, I appreciated the feeling of being safe. I would definitely stay here again, and I highly recommend Hotel De L'Abbaye.

L'accueil fut impeccable, le service parfait, le personnel attentionné. La propreté des chambres était nickel-chrome. L'emplacement de l'hôtel participe au calme et au bien être de ce bâtiment chargé d'histoire. Je ne peux que recommander.

Had a fabulous weekend stay in Lyon in an Essential room for our family of 3. We had a large room, with lovely green outlook. The sound of the church bells close by was gorgeous on Sunday morning. Luxury touches throughout in the hotel from furnishings to L'Occitane bathroom products. Nice breakfast selection and staff were excellent in service. In a quiet location but easily walkable to any part of Lyon. Would highly recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to return if the opportunity came to visit Lyon again.

Hotel De L'Abbaye was recommended to us by a friend and it didn't disappoint. Good central location, easy walk to the old town area or to catch the Metro up to Croix-Rousse. We have an excellent dinner in the restuarant, definitely worth making a reservation for at least one night during your stay. Breakfast was also good, and convenient way to start the day. Also loved the cozy bar area. Our room was quiet at night, and loved hearing the church bells during the day. Comfortable bed, appreciated the extra seating area in our room for relaxing. Everyone on the staff was professional and attentive. Would definitely stay here again!

In general, I felt that Hotel De L'Abbaye is a welcoming and charming hotel in the French "abbey style". The hotels' physical location is charming being so close to the basilica next door and its proximity to downtown Lyon. The bedrooms while small are spotlessly clean and the beds are very comfortable and bathrooms are well appointed. The AC is very effective. As with other reviewers, I was concerned that the shower requires one to step into the bath which, unless you're extremely careful, can prove dangerously slippy when exiting. This could - and should - be remedied.|There are a few other downsides which caused me to lower my rating : first, parking - the hotel has no on site car park. I was at a loss to understand why there is no valet parking or why there is no set down area (which is effectively on the public street). Consequently, guests arriving in their own cars have to take their cars across the Rhone river to a third party car park where the hotel has a parking arrangement (there is a charge for this). It only takes about 7 minutes assuming that is you know where you're going but that doesn't detract from the fact that it's nonetheless awkward and, if you're not familiar with downtown Lyon, you will need definitely good guidance (or at the very least Google maps). |I didn't dine in the hotel but I did have breakfast and my definite impression was that it fell short of the standard one would expect for a 4 star hotel charging €18 per person.

This place is sensational and so low key from the outside. The room quality, the service and the food offering is everything you want after a hot day wanding and exploring.

The staff are wonderful and really do look to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

This is a lovely hotel, with lovely rooms in a beautiful, quiet location that is close to everything. The staff also goes above and beyond. My husband and I were quite sick and the chef made us dinner off the menu so that we would be comfortable (a homemade soup and wonderful sandwiches). The reception staff made sure we had what we needed and checked in on us to make sure that we were doing OK. I can't recommend staying here highly enough.

Phenomenal boutique hotel experience in the heart of Lyon! From the hospitality to the aesthetic and ambience, this hotel is everything you could want in your stay. The location is close enough to walk to the 1st arrondissement, or you can use one of the nearby multiple metro stations. All of the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I also recommend at least trying the daily breakfast, as the food was fantastic. I could not have had a better experience for our trip to Lyon!

We, a group of 7 Swiss ladies, spent 2 nights in this beautiful Hotel. The historic building offers clean, elegant and mostly calm rooms and a fine restaurant. Have an apéro on the terrace in front of the building and watch les Lyonnais strolling by! The location is perfect to explore the city. Staff was super friendly and helpful. We will come back for sure.

Fabulous guest service across the board! Everyone was eager to assist us with any needs or questions - regardless of their department and responsibilities. Exceptional friendly and efficient staff . Lounge area was great - fun decor and comfortable. Outdoor patio dining was delightful.

Very much enjoyed our stay for the week. The room was large and comfortable with wonderful views of the church and piazza. The breakfast buffet had everything in abundance, the only issue was the quirky coffee machine otherwise wonderful. We had dinner also one night and it was excellent. The location is quiet but easy walking to shops, restaurants and museums.
The concierge was extremely helpful with recommendations to restaurants etc.

I felt welcome and prepared for even prior to arrival. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was quite large and the bed slept like a dream. The room amenities are lovely from the toiletries to the coffee maker. All very well thought out. Perfect place to stay when visiting Lyon and we will stay again next time.
