MÉTROPOL'HÔTEL ^{* * *}

Lovely quirky old style hotel. Very convenient for all the restaurants and bars of Calais all within a few minutes walk without the hassle of driving and finding parking. Free Parking is right outside the front door of the Hotel as is a nice little Park for walking our dog.

All in all good little hotel, great and friendly reception staff, hassle free parking and a few hundred metres from all the restaurants and bars of Calais Town.

J'y retournerai. Tout est parfait. Rapport qualité prix imbattable. Au départ une semaine pour le travail. Finalement je vais y rester un mois. Personnel que je pourrai couvrir de superlatifs flatteurs, et sur la periode j'ai pu voir tout le monde. Un grand merci à vous tous

My experience is based on my stay at this hotel last year, and I never felt compelled to leave a review until now. My husband and I stayed for one night and had an average-ish stay until we were ready to depart. Casually, we mentioned to the receptionist that we would get an Uber to get to another train station nearby and she told us (incorrectly) that there were no Ubers in the area. Instead, she offered to arrange a taxi for us. At many hotels, you would trust that the staff is genuinely trying to help you, but instead she called a scam taxi, forcing us to pay way more than what’s standard and without using any meter. We noticed something was off as soon as the driver came and the receptionist was chatting with him privately while we waited in the backseat. I have every reason to believe that the receptionist was in on the scam, and my husband and I felt so stupid for trusting her. For the dishonest and predatory service alone, I would never recommend anyone stay here.

Juste une nuit pour prendre le ferry le lendemain. Très bien dormie.
