Excellent, central location, near to all the cafes, bars, restaurants and the square. Secure parking. Helpful attentive staff and modern, spacious rooms. Great variety of breakfast.

Séjour pro, donc pas le temps de faire le tour mais l'hôtel offre une belle prestation. Personnel très agréable et service à la hauteur. C'était très bien.

nous avons pris la chambre familiale à 160 e avec 2 lits double énormes et matelas confortable et 2 oreillers chacun...baignoire gigantesque .WC un peu usé mais propre...|2 grands placards...|salon avec 1 canapé 2 places et 2 fauteuils style anglais. et une table avec 4 chaises...une télé |dommage pas de mini frigo|et le petit déjeuner est à 14 euros par personne que nous n'avons pas pris car à 4 on était mieux d'utiliser la bouilloire ,pour se faire un thé et café ,mise à disposition et de manger nos propres croissants sur la table très pratique cependant |tout comme le garage avec supplément 10 e |très bien situé proche de la gare et à 2 min du centre ville et un quart d'heure de la plage à pied. |accueil très sympathique et bar accessible et possibilité de faire un billard|même si un bon coup de travaux de rafraîchissement serait la bienvenue je recommande |nous reviendrons |merci

J'ai voulu réserver une nuit avec un coffret Wonderbox par téléphone. Le PATRON me dit qu'il n'est absolument pas partenaire et que c'est donc impossible. Je fais un up grade du coffret car il me fallait absolument un hôtel à Calais et là il apparaît encore en réservation immédiate via le site! J'ai réservé et ça à fonctionné ! C'est honteux de la part des hôteliers de mentir pour éviter la réservation Wonderbox quand ils sont partenaires et profitent de la vitrine publicitaire. C'est le client qui est pris en otage! J'ai du payer + de 100 euros la nuit alors qu'il devait passer avec un coffret cadeau à 79€!
Hôtel très très très vieillot, chambre minuscule et très vieillotte aussi. Pas de Wi-Fi, Matelas en béton (140cm).La dame a l'accueil est très sympathique par contre les 2 hommes, pas du tout ... Il faudrait vraiment rafraîchir l'endroit car limite, c'est glauque et ça fait peur !

Hôtel idéalement placé à Calais 5 minutes à pied de la plage où avec les transports en commun qui sont gratuits le petit déjeuner est extraordinairement bon et de plus si vous le souhaitez vous pouvez avoir les œufs aux bacon un vrai régal vraiment je recommande

C'est un hôtel très sympa, ou l'accueil est au top.|Le cadre est ancien, mais très propre, avec des chambres classiques.|Le petit déj est bien, le personnel est aux petits soins.|L'établissement est à quelques pas du coeur de Calais et des restaurants.

J'ai été très bien reçue et très bien conseillée par Catherine, qui est d'une gentillesse et d'un professionnalisme exemplaires. Le cadre est chaleureux et authentique, à proximité immédiate de la gare, sans les désagréments du bruit. Je recommande cet hôtel.

Great hotel only 10 mins from the eurotunnel and minutes from the train station. Ideal location. Family has been coming here for over 30 years for skiing stop overs and business trips. Very friendly, clean, peace and quiet.Ex value for money.

Love staying here; excellent location behind the railway station, so handy both for Place d’Armes in one direction and the main shopping street in the other.

Very friendly staff, comfortable rooms and great breakfast.

Tip: Book direct with the hotel!

I loved this hotel--just around the corner from the train station. Couldn't see it until got to the end of the block across from many bus stops. The reception clerk was wonderful--I arrived early after a train ride from Chantilly & had booked the hotel for its value and short distance from the train station. Went for a walk to the fabulous Edwardian? City Hall just a few blocks away to see the Rodin's Burghers of Calais. The gardens were still full of flowers & lovely. I walked back through a very nice relaxing park after buying a super pastry at the shop across the street from the Marie. I then spent the evening relaxing & drinking Jupiter beer in a gorgeous bar area. The street as you approach the hotel seems a bit shabby, as are the hallways in the hotel--but it is clean & the bed is very comfortable. The room has a kettle, the bath a tub which I enjoyed; and a window that opens--wi-fi works great & the huge surprise is that the lobby area & bar are truly elegant...I hope to return...Oh, it is one of the few places left where it costs less to stay as a single than a couple!

Lovely quirky old style hotel. Very convenient for all the restaurants and bars of Calais all within a few minutes walk without the hassle of driving and finding parking. Free Parking is right outside the front door of the Hotel as is a nice little Park for walking our dog.

All in all good little hotel, great and friendly reception staff, hassle free parking and a few hundred metres from all the restaurants and bars of Calais Town.

Great little stop over Hotel all round.

J'y retournerai. Tout est parfait. Rapport qualité prix imbattable. Au départ une semaine pour le travail. Finalement je vais y rester un mois. Personnel que je pourrai couvrir de superlatifs flatteurs, et sur la periode j'ai pu voir tout le monde. Un grand merci à vous tous

My experience is based on my stay at this hotel last year, and I never felt compelled to leave a review until now. My husband and I stayed for one night and had an average-ish stay until we were ready to depart. Casually, we mentioned to the receptionist that we would get an Uber to get to another train station nearby and she told us (incorrectly) that there were no Ubers in the area. Instead, she offered to arrange a taxi for us. At many hotels, you would trust that the staff is genuinely trying to help you, but instead she called a scam taxi, forcing us to pay way more than what’s standard and without using any meter. We noticed something was off as soon as the driver came and the receptionist was chatting with him privately while we waited in the backseat. I have every reason to believe that the receptionist was in on the scam, and my husband and I felt so stupid for trusting her. For the dishonest and predatory service alone, I would never recommend anyone stay here.

Ok, so the decor is a bit dated but the hotel is at a fab location with an excellent price tag. The beds are comfortable, the breakfast great and the staff very friendly. There is secure parking if you have a car full of ski kit or space outside of you prefer. We've stayed her many times on our way back from the Alps, in both they family room and a double - would highly recommend for price and location.

Je me suis rendue dans cet hôtel pour des raisons professionnelles, je suis assez déçu de la prestation, les chambres sont assez exiguës là où la salle de bain est assez basse de plafond. Le couloir est digne d'un assez bon film d'horreur, je dis ça pas dans le sens impropre mais dans le sens où la décoration et l'éclairage forment une ambiance horrifique.
Le petit déjeuner est assez banal voir même pauvres avec un emplacement proche Gare assez sympathique mais une entrée pas simple a trouver.
La réception est assez belle en soi et la qualité du travail des réceptionnistes est assez bonne.

I stay at the Metropol every time I cross the Channel. I love the atmosphere and easy comfort, but their greatest asset is the staff, profesional, helpful and cheerful. The Metropol has that old fashioned charm and hospitality.
