What you’re really staying here for is the location — it’s ideal. The RER C overground train takes you directly into central Paris in just 25 minutes. You can also easily walk to the Palace of Versailles, a stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site and a must-see. We also used the site as a base to visit Claude Monet’s home in Giverny, around a 50-minute drive away.
We stayed in one of the Canadian Trapper Tents, which was simple but totally adequate and spacious for a couple, with a small cooking setup that met all our needs. The site also offers great facilities like pétanque, table tennis, and a swimming pool.
I know some reviews mention the cost, but when compared with hotels or Airbnb in or around Paris, this place offers great value for money and a much more relaxed experience. Staff were friendly, though we didn’t need much — everything was smooth and easy.
In short, it’s a fantastic launch pad for exploring Île-de-France, and we really hope to return one day. Highly recommended!
Je ne connaissais pas ce principe d'hébergement mais j'ai bien apprécié on est arrivé avec notre camping-car un jour avant et il a su se débrouiller pour nous trouver une petite place
