I went to buy a bottle of water and I ordered it in French. A guy, who was drinking beer at the bar, started making fun of my accent by repeating some of the words I was saying, to make clear that my accent was not perfect or, at least, funny for him. I don't care about drunk people being racist and disrespectful, but seeing the waitresses laughing about those jokes in front of me is not acceptable. Please be respectful to people, especially when we are trying to make an effort to speak your language. I have lived in different countries and continents, and this is the first time I feel treated like this.
