This was the best meal we had in a long time. The restaurant was recommended by the owner of the L’Atelier du Pizzaolio in Bordeaux, we will be forever thankful.
We will definitely be back soon.

Extremely convenient location very close to our hotel. Service was excellent and a great value for the money.
They have a cool feature in that you can purchase a small volume wine. (We called them "samplers")
So we ordered most of them!! Great fun.
My only issue was my wife ordered the snails. She became violently ill 2-3 hours afterwards. Extremely sick for most of the night.
This was the only difference in what we both ate. I must assume the cause was poorly prepared or otherwise tainted food
A shame but hopefully an exception to an otherwise lovely restaurant.

Satisfaits de la cuisine et du service. Les plats sont copieux et goûteux.
J'ai apprécié le plat végétarien.
Dommage, il ne faisait pas assez chaud dans la salle.

This restaurant has staff that is unable to serve in a professional manner. I have dined at restaurants all over France and have never had such a disappointing experience. There are much better choices in the Medoc and I would avoid this choice at all costs.

Brasserie bistronomique. !? Plus bistrot dans l’assiette et gastro dans l’addition cadre et personnels agréables Mais dans l’assiette tout à revoir … un barbue sur lit de poireaux à 42€ aurait mérité un petit effort en saveur et de présentation

C'est un bel endroit.
Pour l'apprécier il est important d'être dans le bon contexte.
Aimer le vin, un cadre accueillant, une cuisine élaborée.
Le service impeccable.

Correct dans l'ensemble.
Juste que pulvériser de nettoyant les tables alors que l'on dîne juste à côté n'est pas acceptable...

Adding to my wine education brought me to Bordeaux and dropped me, among other places, at Chateau Lynch-Bages for a spectacular tour of their new production facilities, a tasting and lots of historical details. Turns out that the current owners of the winery and vineyards surrounding it unknowingly also received the "town" immediately adjacent to the winery with their acquisition. Upon discovery, the family renovated or rebuilt all of the structures in the tiny town just steps from the winery to complement the business and provide housing and services for the employees who were willing to live within a two minute walk of their employer. Café Lavinal is THE restaurant in town. Make no mistake, this is not an afterthought to the wine operation. It is an upscale establishment brimming with the ambiance and atmosphere that befits the marriage of the region's passion for both wine and food. We took lunch al fresco on a warm, sunny afternoon under the shade of patio umbrellas. Ordering from the Lavinal lunch menu provided sophisticated three-course options that were as artfully prepared and presented as they were creative and satisfying. Not unexpectedly, ingredient quality reigns supreme and deft hands in the kitchen transformed them into delicacies that were worth sharing with everyone in our party, making sure our choices covered the widest range of flavors and textures possible. Service was impeccable and appropriately timely, keenly aware of our pace and responsive when we were ready to depart. I selected a very approachable white Bordeaux from the Chateau's second label and was reminded that it's not at all hard to pair food and wine in the region. Reservations are a must as it's literally the only restaurant in town. But it's worth planning. Definitely a surprise find.

Cadre superbe et service des jeunes filles très sympathique.
Belle presentation des plats, par contre, cuisine moyenne car poisson réchauffé et les sauces et mise en bouche n'ont aucune saveur. Alcool et vins hors de prix. Déçus ????

Joli restaurant mais service pas très professionnel. Demande de carafage du vin jeune mal pris par le serveur.
Ce restaurant accepte les gros chiens type Bouvier Bernois entre les tables ce qui n'est ni agréable ni hygiénique. Entrée de Hareng à l'huile avec peu de hareng.

Très bonne cuisine, jolie décoration, service de qualité. Que dire de plus à part de vous y rendre :)

Le cadre est très agréable. Le service n'est pas à la hauteur avec les assiettes non servies en même temps et la non prise en compte des remarques. Pour les enfants, cela n'a aucun intérêt avec une viande et une patate au four sans assaisonnement! Loin de l'esprit brasserie initial, nous sortons de table très très légers comme notre porte monnaie. Ce restaurant était bien mieux avant!!!

Dommage que certains clients passent leurs temps à gaspiller,bières à peine entamés,moitiés de bouteilles de vins....etc
ça agace un peu ce comportement "ma tu vu".
Si on arrive à faire l'exception de ces "gens là" L'accueil est vraiment très agréable ! les serveur(ses) sont au top ! il y en a pour tout les goûts et la musique est excellente !

Vraiment une très bonne adresse dans le médoc. Venez profiter de ce bon moment dans ce charmant village de bages. Boucherie magnifique tout pres...

Bistrot rétro au centre du village de Bages (Pauillac).
Belle terrasse si le temps le permet. Cuisine de bistrot aux accents de la région. Service prévenant. Une bonne table dans le Médoc.

Une très bonne surprise, tant le foie gras, que l'agneau confit, ou la canette étaient délicieux, notre fils s'est régalé d'un hamburger au fois gras. Excellent aux plans gustatif et quantitatif, un service efficace et souriant.
