Good location and close enough to downtown. A tad weary, and the facilities, in particular the rooms are so-so. The reception staff were courteous and helpful. The rooftop bar, however, is a bit of a joke. Lovely seating and vista outside, but try getting the obviously underworked staff to do anything.... Yeesh! I suspect they thought that I should be grateful to be served by them. Not recommending this hotel as there must be better, more hospitable, locally, for the value. Oh, and I'm an IHG member, with a significant status, so am well used to better from the chain. Whinge over!

Un grand merci au Chef pour son accueil et son service, la présentation du menu.. Et une mention spéciale pour L attention délicate du dessert.. Un personnel aux petits soin.. Le tout dans un cadre sympa avec jolie vue, Garonne et toits de Bordeaux.

I had used points to book a standard room and was made an offer at check in to upgrade to a suite for a very reasonable price (which included a bottle of very good champagne). The suite was very large and ‘well appointed’. Very large and comfortable bed and a huge bathroom. The area in which the hotel is situated (Chartrons) has a real bohemian feel, full of cafés, bars, restaurants, antique and art shops, bakeries etc.

Je suis absolument enchanté(e) par mon expérience dans cet établissement ✨! L'accueil chaleureux et le service impeccable du personnel ont rendu mon séjour mémorable. Très déçu par cet hôtel. Les fenêtres ne s’ouvrent pas sur l’extérieur il fait très chaud. Il faut dormir avec la climatisation très bruyante. J’avais l’impression d être dans un avion. Je trouve qu’il se dégage un sentiment oppressant. J’ai voulu changer de chambre mais cela n’a pas été possible. Au final je déconseille cet hôtel. Je ne reviendrai pas.

I have become a fan of Hotel Indigo over the last year staying in locations around the world including Kuala Lumpur, Bali and Taipei. Pros: The Bordeaux Hotel Indigo is in a great neighborhood within walking distance of many sites and close to restaurants. The breakfast is very good, my room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet.
Cons: What I love about the Hotel Indigo chain is the elevated and unique designs of their lobbies, rooms and restaurants. In Bordeaux, I found my room to be minimalist with sparse furnishings and decor. It didn't feel welcoming. Another reason why I often choose IHG hotels (over 45 nights this year) is how I'm treated as a Diamond Rewards member. Usually I am greeted specially at check in and receive some little act of kindness such as a handwritten note by the manager or hotel staff, a cute orgami towel animal on the bed or even a box of chocolates or cookies in my room. Here, I wasn't even acknowledged as a Diamond member at check in and received no other gestures, which I found odd. Not a big deal overall, but it shows a lack of attention to details by management that makes stays special for loyal customers. To be fair, I did receive a complimentary room upgrade when requested.

Séjour globalement très satisfaisant, ce que nous avons apprécié : l'emplacement à la fois au calme mais pas loin du centre ville, le personnel super gentil et efficace (mention spéciale à Thomas de la réception) et le petit déjeuner sur le rooftop est juste sensationnel !
La chambre était située bien au calme, très spacieuse avec tout le confort attendu d'un 4 étoiles (peignoirs, chaussons, bouteille d'eau, machine nespresso...) et la literie super confortable. Mais il y faisait très chaud et il y avait un bruit de ventilation un peu gênant.
Les produits de la salle de bain de la marque Nuxe avaient un parfum trop fort, limite écoeurant, dommage.
Au final, nous avons réellement apprécié notre séjour et recommandons l'Indigo sans hésitation !

Wow. What a fantastic boutique hotel. 5 minutes walk to the tram. Clean and comfortable rooms. The landings have a 'beach theme' so you feel on holiday.

Nafissa was the reason I’m writing this review. She is without question the best front desk person I’ve ever interfaced in my stays at many many hotels. She is headed for stardom, and one of these days will likely be running one of her own properties.

I booked two rooms for one night with our friends who were visiting us in France, and had never been to Bordeaux.
We had a plan to wander the sights of Bordeaux, have dinner to then return to the hotel for a couple of late drinks in the bar which before heading to bed.
Unfortunately our night was cut short as when we returned to the hotel bar a 23.45 for a drink well before the advertised closing time of 2.00 we were told the bar was closed and there was no service available. A very disappointing end to the one day visit to Bordeaux.
We had a plan to wander the sights of Bordeaux, have dinner to then return to the hotel for a couple of late drinks in the bar which before heading to bed.

Imaginez un hôtel 4 étoiles qui dispose d une literie plus que douteuse...deux lits simples sans aucune alaise, un drap plat bien trop petit...vous aurez donc le privilège, au mieux, de vous réveiller sur la barre de fer, au pire d avoir passé la nuit à même le matelas!! Expérience détestable, jamais rencontrée même dans le pire Formule 1!!!

The location is fantastic: just around the corner from the tram, which makes getting around the city effortless. It’s also close to Place de la Bourse, the Water Mirror, and just about 0.3 km (roughly 1/2 mile) from the Tourism Office and Grand Théâtre. Everything we needed was within easy reach.
Our room was wonderful. The king-sized bed was comfortable — firm but not too firm — and the air conditioning was strong, a blessing during the warmer afternoons. One unexpected bonus was the water dispenser in the hallway — a small but thoughtful detail that made staying hydrated while sightseeing easy.
The on-site restaurant is only open for lunch and dinner and usually requires reservations, but the rooftop offers a lovely view of the Garonne River and the surrounding area — definitely worth a visit even just for the atmosphere.
All in all, we had a delightful, restful stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, kindness, and convenience in Bordeaux.

Cons: la gestion du restaurant (pas assez de staff) + housekeeping déjà dans nos chambres à nos retours de petits déjeuner (trop rapide). Nous avons été réveillés par un call de la réception à 8h30 pour demander si nous avions commandé un room service de petit déj... (c'était une erreur).
Mais globalement: équipe souriante et professionnelle.

I don’t know how they knew, but they knew our names when we walked in the hotel and treated us like royalty. Every staff member was extremely professional and polite in every way. The breakfast at the hotel lacked nothing. It was fantastic. When we return to Bordeaux, we will definitely be staying there again.

Dans cet hôtel Tout est beau, calme et reposant. Dans La chambre joliment décorée, le bon sommeil est assuré grâce à la literie. La salle petit dej au 7eme étage avec vue sur la ville et le fleuve donne envie de se prélasser.
Et - ce qui est a relever- le personnel est souriant et accueillant. Nous les remercions.

Une pause calme à 2 pas du Centre :
La deco est très réussie. On est totalement dans l’ambiance d’arcachon. Le moindre rayon de soleil nous projette en vacances au bord de la mer. Bravo ! En plus, la deco d’ensemble crée une vraie différenciation par rapport au marché traditionnel de l’hôtellerie.
La literie extra large est très confortable. Insonorisation parfaite.
Petit-dej au top ! Il y a même des mini cannelés. Rien ne manque pour nous rappeler que nous sommes à Bordeaux ????
Le personnel jeune est très souriant.
Un bon moment. Je recommande chaleureusement.

Stayed here for an expo. Great location near shopping and amazing food.
The hotel is very clean, the staff is friendly and the onsite breakfast is amazing . I'd stay here again.

Chambre dans un couloir au 4ème étage avec des bruits de portes qui claquent et bruits de vaisselles tout l’après midi (chambre devant une porte du personnel)
Queue de 30min pour faire le Check out car une seule personne à l’accueil bien trop lente et toute seule pour s’occuper de toute la réception
