Our stay at Isabelle's B & B was very enjoyable. She was a wonderful host, made us feel welcome and at home from the moment we arrived and provide us great advice regarding buses, trams, suggested areas to go and pointing out places to avoid. The room was very tidy and comfortable, the breakfast area roomy and there was a lovely courtyard garden. The B & B is handy to the transport hub and close enough to the city centre is you prefer a walk. All in all a great experience.

On se sent comme à la maison, l'hôte Isabelle ne demande qu'a vous rendre service. |Elle nous a surclassé, petit déjeuner extra, très propre. C'est rare d'avoir une chambre avec un vrai parquet et le mur en pierres....|*************************************************************************************************************

We really loved our stay at La Halte Montaigne. Isabelle is a very kind host, making us feel at home right from the start. Her B&B which she runs with passion is beautiful, the rooms are tidy, very nicely decorated and comfortable. We had a wonderful 2 days in Bordeaux, also thanks to the good tips Isabelle gave us. La Halte Mantaigne is situated very close (<5 min walk) from the train station. So perfect to get the tram of bus to the centre. And if you are not afraid of walking, you can stroll the city centre in 20 - 25 minutes along the Garonne river.

Partie en séminaire en solo pour la première fois à l'autre bout de la France. Une hôte incroyablement bienveillante, chaleureuse, cultivée, au petits soins. Une propreté irréprochable. Respect de l'intimité, des impératifs professionnels, et le tout dans une convivialité heureuse.

In the end, all my concerns about street noise staying a short distance away from the train station dissolved as soon as we arrived at La Halte Montaigne and settled into our corner room at the back of the house on a narrow side street. We could not have asked for a more pleasant and comfortable two night stay in Bordeaux, early check-in was available, the hostess was very accommodating, friendly and a delight to talk to. Our ensuited room was spacious, plenty of fresh air and light, a small TV (didn't use), good WIFI, comfortable bed and pillows, and peaceful at night. The B&B was a five minute walk to the train station, trams and a great restaurant and Canele store recommended by the hostess. The walk into the centre was not picturesque, took about twenty five minutes. The highlight of the stay was the delicious breakfast, good conversations with other guests and the hostess, as well as spending a relaxing time in the rear enclosed courtyard with a cuppa and a book. Highly recommend and would look no further if I was to return to Bordeaux.

Lovely old house in a quiet street in central Bordeaux. Especially well located for the railway station. Room tastefully decorated, spacious and very comfortable. Isabelle is charming and helpful. Breakfast was good with chance to meet other guests.

Ein wunderbares B&B, um Bordeaux und die Umgebung (zB Arcachon) mit dem Zug zu erkunden. Die Unterkunft liegt nur 5 Gehminuten vom Bahnhof entfernt. Das Zentrum ist in 20 Fußminuten oder direkt mit der Straßenbahn leicht zu erreichen. Das Haus hat viel Charme und die Gastgeberin ist wunderbar herzlich und hilfsbereit, das Frühstück ein Traum. Jederzeit gerne wieder!

Easy walk from the train station and then a very nice greeting from the owner who showed me everything I needed to know within the B&B. Sparkling clean everywhere. Very comfortable bed. Delicious breakfast of coffee, fresh bread, cheeses, pastries, and juice. I highly recommend this place to anyone but especially if traveling alone. I was super comfortable.

Isabelle est une hôte très sympathique, elle vous accueillera dans une très belle maison, elle vous donnera de très bons conseils pour que votre séjour à Bordeaux vous laisse un très bon souvenir. Disponible, agréable, arrangeante, cette expérience de chambre d’hôte a été pour nous, une réussite que nous n’hésiterons pas à renouveler lors d’un prochain séjour. Bravo à vous , Isabelle, ne changez rien.

We only had one night in Bordeaux, between two train trips. We chose Halte Montaigne for it close proximity to Gare St Jean. But when we return it will be because of the warmth of the owner/hostess, the delicious breakfast, and the comfort of the room. She helped us with tram information to see La Cite de Vin, a fun and educational modern museum and recommended a restaurant by the train station, Bouillon St. Jean, where I had the best dinner of our trip to France. Their Beef Bourguignon was great and only cost 10.50 euros!|We will be back to Bordeaux as we did not give it enough time, and we will be back to Halte Montaigne.

We loved our stay. Isabelle gave us a warm welcome and great advice to enhance our visit. She prepared a delicious breakfast and her home which is both elegant and comfortable, makes a perfect base from which to explore Bordeaux. Highly recommended!

Friendly personal approach, home-like athmosphere, useful Boardeaux sighseein Bordeaux tips. Everything was OK. Oustanding location near the trainstation. Excelent breakfast. Great, everything what I need was there. I was sattisfied.

This B&B is very well-located, maybe 5 minutes from the Central train station. The hostess is very helpful with recommendations for meals, walking tours etc and she is really terrific about accommodating food sensititivies. Didn't hesitate about ways to be helpful.|The rooms are spacious, clean and well-furnished.

Quiet, lovely space with excellent service and attention. Isabelle the owner is a treasure. Very close to Gare St. Jean.||We were able to check in early and provided with excellent touristic advice. Breakfast in the morning was excellent. We very much appreciated the quality of our experience at this cosy home.

This excellent B&B is some 10 mins walk, and reasonably easy to find, from Gare St Jean railway station where you can link into Bordeaux's tram & bus network. The airport shuttle also terminates at GSJ. Stayed for 5 nights in a downstairs room which whilst basic was certainly both quiet and comfortable. Good breakfast. Nice host who can point you in the right direction for restuarants and things to do. Would definitely recommend.

Located a short walk from the train station and tram, La Halte Montaigne was a wonderful experience for the three of us. Isabelle is a warm, caring, and informative hostess. Breakfast was incredibly delicious: juice, cafe and warm milk, fresh bread and croissants, yogurt, cheese, and a variety of fresh fruit. She was conversational and also gave us great advice on taking the tram to city central and to buy the Rugby ticket which allows you 48 hours unlimited "on and off" trips. The Rugby championship was in town, but we managed to avoid it. Our room was spacious and Isabelle was kind during those early September sweltering days on how to us the must appreciated A/C. A great place to stay, with a lovely hostess Isabelle. Hope to return to stay again soon!

Absolutely perfect place to stay to visit the city of Bordeaux. 5 Minutes far fro. The main station and a tram station. Isabelle is an excellent host, kind, flexible and welcoming. Everything was extremely tasteful and kindly arranged for all the guests staying at the house.

Breakfast was incredible also and just by chance we had beautiful conversation with other guests. I feel like Isabelle's place attracts nice people, and that is quite a special thing :)

We will for sure come back.
