Lieu calme et très bien agencé à 15mn en tra du centre de Bordeaux. L’accueil est poli et discret, les pièces communes très cosy et éclairées avec des espaces intérieurs et extérieurs très sympa.

La déco est très belle, le petit déjeuner bien suffisant, l'emplacement parfait
Un seul petit bemol: je pensais que le patio était véritablement ouvert, alors qu'il est couvert.

The room with the patio was perfect, the aesthetic of the house exceptional. We loved the breakfast in the big common kitchen, it felt like home! Great facilities. Close to local neighborhoods in Bordeaux like.the antiquery are and the city centre. The owner was really helpful and polite!

We stayed in the family suite on the top floor of the house. It was nice and comfortable enough, but for €325+ per night, it didn’t feel like good value. For one, you are not in the center of the city (not necessarily a bad thing) but then you either expect better value or exceptional accommodations. There was zero to little interaction with anyone hosting, or anyone in general, which made the stay feel quite impersonal if not eerie. Breakfast was self-serve and nothing special; and do beware the clunky old coffee machine that takes long to brew a cup and and provides no options with milk, which you can top off cold or warm up in the microwave. The decor was stylish and pleasant which was nice, but also quirky - i.e. the wooden beam in the room on which I constantly banged my head. I would stay again, but probably not during high season at such a high price.

Ein wunderbar ruhiges, schnuckeliges Hotel geführt von einer sehr freundlichen Gastgeberfamilie. Mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln sehr gut zu erreichen. Die Zimmer sind modern und schön eingerichtet. Alles ist sehr sauber, und es gab täglich frische Handtücher. Das Frühstück mit frisch gepresstem Orangemsaft und Croissant. Jederzeit wieder!

I spent three nights at Volubilis Guest House and here's my feedback:||Positive aspects: nice and spacious room; good breakfast; helpful staff; good location (even if it is not in the city-center).||Negative aspects: the room soundproofing is not good at all (you can hear the noise coming from the street and other guests walking around, having breakfast, taking a shower, etc.); no daily housekeeping is provided; breakfast is available from 8 a.m. onwards, which is a bit late if you have to leave early in the morning and you would like to have breakfast before leaving; no elevator; the shutters and curtains are not blackout so the room is not completely dark (which is not very pleasant if you are sensitive to sunlight).||Personally, I would not stay at this guest house again.

I did not end up staying at Volubiis Guest House and perhaps that was a good thing. My husband and I booked in early January, but changed our plans a week or so later. I asked for a refund. I had given the place a full 1000 plus dollars on my major credit card. After many promises of a refund coming it did not. I had to file a dispute with my credit card. Mr. Bernardi, at Volubis, claimed it was the fault of Stripe, which is a payment processing place. I contacted Stripe, and this was not so. Luckily my credit card company figured out that this was shady and finally, Bernardi, allowed or legitimized to his bank I was due a refund. It took two months and lots of mistruths, via emails from Volubis Guest House. Also, I tried calling the guest house, but the owner would not answer my calls, but did answer the call from Bordeaux Chamber of Commerce who contacted him on my behalf. He also told them wrong info. Sad, the place looked good as per photos on line. Beware!

We have really good stay in magna room for about 5 days……the room is clean，neat and well designed……host is very friendly
The location is also perfect，there is tram to city center and also by walk around 20 minutes you will be in old town！
highly recommend it to every one want to visit Bordeaux……by our stay experience we feel like home ????

Très bon weekend passé dans cette Guest House: rien à redire.
Emplacement parfait: près des Chartrons, tout proche du tram.
Les chambres sont d'un superbe standing et l'atmosphère est digne d'un 5*
Les services proposés par notre hôte étaient au delà de toute nos attentes.

Lovely gem of a guest house to visit Bordeaux. Not directly in the center, but a comfortable walk to nice sights and very close to charming Rue de Notre Dame’s shopping and cafes. Good value for money on the rooms and breakfast.

Idéalement situé, la chambre était propre et sympathique. Cependant l'isolation laisse à désirer, par chance nous n'étions pas beaucoup durant notre séjour mais on entendait tous les bruits (de l'hôtel et des voitures dans la rue)

We really enjoyed our stay here! We were in the Magna room, which is adjacent to the common room /salon,which was convenient, though sometimes a bit of noise makes it's way through. The rooms are very nicely appointed, and our room had a coffee machine and a kettle /tea. The salon has kitchen facilities and is where the excellent breakfast is served. The location is good, with a five minute walk on the narrow sidewalks to get to the nearest tram station. Overall a very enjoyable visit! Thank you!

We stayed here for almost 2 weeks and it was excellent. We had a big, spacious and elegant room, Magna room, with a lovely terrace and immediate access to the kitchen area.
Ludovic and his wife took great care of us by providing as fresh as it can be and quality breakfast every morning (croissant, pain au chocolat, french toast, baguette, boiled eggs, freshly made fruit salad, fresh squeezed orange juice and great locally made jams). We felt at home here.
With a 5-minute walk to Camille Godard tram station, you can easily connect to the city.
All in all, this is an elegant and beautiful guest house which we cannot recommend enough!

It's a 6 rooms accommodation, carefully designed, and very well maintained.
Located 20 minutes walk from the old city, Volubilis is surrounded by great bistros and restaurants.

Beautifully renovated building. Tastefully decorated rooms and common areas, walking distance to relevant parts of Bordeaux city centre. Good self serve breakfast when you wake up with quality produce. Stayed for two nights at the end of our trip, left our rental car before we stayed here.
