Delightful experience! We visited here for lunch without reservations and the owners were very welcoming.. There was only one empty table in the restaurant by the end of lunch and we were the only non-French in the place. The food was so good that we came back for dinner a week later. My husband is not crazy about stuffy places that give you a hard time about dress code, but he loves great food. He was in heaven here. There were even a couple of men wearing shorts at lunch! It was very casual even though there was a business crowd. My husband and I like different types of wine so the sommelier really had his work cut out for him recommending a wine that we both would like, but he took his time talking to us and he knocked it out of the park. Their selection of wines is a little intimidating but the sommelier was knowledgeable and patient and seemed to enjoy talking about Bordeaux wines. The food at both lunch and dinner was creative and delicious. The excellent coffee sealed the deal for my husband. For me, it was the warmth and friendliness of the owners and their willingness to talk about food and wine with nosy strangers - they really love being in the restaurant business and it shows. They speak English here so don’t worry about questions getting lost in translation. When we were there for dinner, another group of Americans came in and asked if they could just have a quick glass of wine (I’m sure they were just trying to be considerate in that they did not have a reservation). It was all we could do to restrain ourselves from advising them to at least order a couple of appetizers. You do not want to miss this food! We will definitely be back when we are next in Bordeaux - we can’t wait to taste their next creation!

Très bonne cuisine qui prend soin de mettre les produits de saison à l'honneur. Vins de qualité et service attentionné et à l'écoute. Nous reviendrons à notre prochaine halte à Bordeaux !
