The only pleasant thing was the pate and the sturgeon with caviar - the appetizer was refreshing and fun to eat.
As for the ribs … we had asked for medium rare, and when it came out, the outer layer was charred nicely, but the middle was sinewy and difficult to slice through. It needed just a few more minutes in the oven or something to be a perfect medium rare. There’s really no way you can save a steak once it’s cooked, but I tried anyways. It came back way beyond well done, so it was a lost cause.
The desserts were decent, nothing memorable but good enough to make up for the first undercooked and then overdone beef.
Would not return again, but the French fries were surprisingly good and they do offer wifi… so maybe you can pick out a grand cru wine, some French fries, and browse the Internet.
Hemos estado en varias ciudades del país y diferentes tipos de restaurantes. Muchos pretenciosos nos han decepcionado pero este me parece un lugar honesto con buena comida de casa, excelente sabor, porciones generosas y servicio excepcional. Me encantó la pechuga de pato con su salsa y papas fritas y su boeuf a la bordelaise. Súper recomendado!
