We went here for lunch and ordered different set menus. Food was exceptional and the servers are attentive.

My wife and I thought a Japanese restaurant in Bordeaux would be a unique experience. It certainly was, but not in a good way. The night started out good with the appetizers being quite good. However, from there on, service was excruciating slow. By the time our main dishes arrived, the food was cold and soggy. I decided maybe desert will be worth waiting for. I was wrong, we waited and waited. Finally, we picked our coats, paided and left in disgust. Not impressed! I recommend getting more servers and cooks if needed. I shouldn't be waiting for dessert after being in your restaurant for 2 1/2 hrs. Unacceptable!

We were extremely happy to have found this place. I can only confirm the other great reviews. We had a very well balanced, tastefully arranged and tasteful dinner. We were well advised on our wine and sake choices. Outstanding service overall. When we didn't want a part of the entrée, we received a replacement without asking - they could have just left it out - I thought that very considerate and forthcoming. The fish was of excellent quality, especially the salmon in view. Even the dessert was a highlight. I would recommend this experience to everyone who likes authentic Japanese food and wants to go beyond California Roll and Ramen. Thanks to the whole staff!

Une merveille.
Le service simple, gentil, efficace, un cadre chaleureux et sobre typique du Japon, et un repas divin. Tous les produits sont travaillés avec finesse et maîtrise. Un vrai bonheur et privilège d’avoir pu dîner chez Ishikawa.
