CHÂTEAU GRATTEQUINA ^{* * * *}

We stayed at Chateau Grattequina from 20-27 October 2024 in a River View Room. The Chateau itself is probably the most beautiful place that I've stayed in thus far. This is evident from the moment you pass through the gates down the very long driveway. Everything about the grounds is relaxing and calm. We visited Bordeaux to take part in a few wine tours and this location was divine for us. The Chateau is not within the city proper which made it ideal for us as it was very quiet, peaceful and tranquil after a day exploring the city or wineries. Each night we were able to relax and decompress from the day. The breakfast was great not heavy and had the best croissants we had tasted. The dinner menu is not huge but that did not detract from the property as uber eats was always available. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We did not speak much French when we came but the staff were understanding and helped us to practice conversing in French while there. The views from our room, the dinning area, the sitting area, the reception area were all astounding. Our room itself was beautiful with two closets for our items a toilet and separate washroom which was massive with his and hers sinks, rain shower, and large tub. The Chateau is 20 mins from Bordeaux city centre by Uber which was very convenient. I generally don't need much where I am staying when I travel as I spend most of my time exploring but this was an experience for a reasonable price. It may have been a bit more expensive than other hotels in Bordeaux but being able to stay in this chateau is an experience worth the added costs. I would like to return in the summer at some point as there was also a sauna and pool on site that we were not able to access due to the cold weather.

Nous avons passée une nuit au château et y avons été formidablement accueilli par Maxime.||Notre chambre était très spacieuse et aménagée avec goût comme le reste de l'hôtel.||Le domaine est splendide et tout le personnel très agréable et serviable.

Le défilé de beaux bateaux était apaisant. On a eu un beau coucher de soleil. Un grand merci d'avoir autorisé le petit chihuahua.

Très beau cadre, le château est magnifique les environs sont très beaux et calmes, durant mon séjour l’accueil de chaque membre du personnel était chaleureux et convivial, à votre écoute, il y a une carte simple de mets froid pour déjeuner ou dîner à l’hôtel, qui est très suffisante et complète, la piscine n’était plus accessible le lendemain de mon arrivée mais vue la météo c’était compréhensible, au plaisir de revenir lors d’un prochain séjour à Bordeaux.

Un lieu exceptionnel ! Ce château à Bordeaux est tout simplement parfait pour les événements et réceptions. Le cadre est majestueux, entouré de végétation, avec des intérieurs élégants et bien entretenus. L’atmosphère est à la fois raffinée et accueillante, idéale pour créer des moments inoubliables. Le personnel est professionnel et attentif, veillant à chaque détail pour que tout se déroule parfaitement. Je recommande vivement cet endroit pour toute occasion spéciale, c’est un véritable bijou !
