We absolutely loved Chateau Edward 1ER. The hotel was beautifully appointed and our hosts could not have been more helpful and charming. Monpazier is one of the nicest villages we have ever been to in France. We also loved the local brewery in the village; great atmosphere, nice staff, simple but enjoyable food.

Seriously, Chateau Hotel Edward 1er should be a new addition in the dictionary as "lovely stay," as they truly exhibit everything your mind conjures when you think of what a lovely stay should/would be! |From the extremely warm welcome you receive upon arrival, the elegance of the chateau and beautiful pool, the tastefully, comfortably-appointed rooms, the refinement of the restaurant, to the exceptionally high level of service upon any encounter with their owners or staff, you leave feeling as though you are long-time friends! |We enjoyed our dinner in their beautiful dining room and the breakfasts were outstanding. (I appreciated the scrambled eggs and croissants with the many choices of delicious jams/jellies the most!)|I expected the chateau to be further from the bastide of Monpazier, but, it was indeed tucked right there in it, giving you the easy ability to explore this enchanting village on foot.|But, the true gems of this hotel are their owners, Michel and Isabelle, and each and every one of their staff! Everyone we encountered were intent on giving us the highest level of service, treating us like we were the most important part of their day! They are the epitome of excellence in service!|If this reads like a love letter to Isabelle and Michel and their staff, that's exactly what it is...||Thank you for such a "lovely stay!"

Une expérience unique au château. Le personnel est vraiment adorable. Un accueil parfait ! La chambre est très propre, on si sent vraiment bien. Les repas sont délicieux.
Nous avons également été très bien conseillé pour les activités à faire.

Nous avons passé un séjour idyllique dans un endroit magique et magnifique à l'occasion du pont du 15 août dernier. Dans cet hôtel tout est merveilleux : En premier lieu l'accueil du personnel et de la propriétaire des lieux aux conseils précieux et avisés, puis les chambres décorées avec beaucoup de goût, à la propreté irréprochable, le jardin magnifique, la piscine , le calme... Le restaurant est un endroit à découvrir absolument. La cuisine y est délicieuse, le service très agréable et très professionnel. L'hôtel Édouard 1er est un lieu incontournable pour passer des vacances dans le joli village de Monpazier ou dans ses environs, et un havre de Paix où la Sérénité est Reine ????. Un Grand Merci à tout le personnel et à la propriétaire pour leur accueil et la douceur de vivre qu'ils offrent à la clientèle ! Nous y reviendrons c'est certain !

This hotel is truly outstanding. From the moment we arrived and received a lovely genuine welcome from Isabelle we felt very much at home. The building and decor is just beautiful and so well situated in lovely Monpazier. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner in Eleanor restaurant, a very special evening for us. Breakfast was also excellent with a huge choice of quality products. We will definitely return when the weather will hopefully allow us to make use of the lovely terrace and pool area. Many thanks to Isabelle and all her excellent colleagues.

Nous n’avons passé qu’une seule nuit mais c’était parfait : chambre impeccable et décorée avec goût, personnel très accueillant, excellent petit-déjeuner varié (à l’exception des pancakes qui manquaient de cuisson et à la présence de Nutella) et la bastide située à 2min à pied était magnifique autant de jour que de nuit.

Superbe accueil. Tout le personnel adorables et également les propriétaires. Le château est rénové avec très bon goût, alliant moderne et ancien. Nous avons passé un superbe week-end, et nous reviendrons
