Très bel établissement en plein cœur du village de Monpazier.
Situé au calme, c'est un lieu idéal pour le repos et la découverte de cette magnifique région.
Chambre spacieuse, propre et bien équipée (nous avions la 17).
Un personnel (et une direction) au petit soin.
Nous étions en demi-pension. La cuisine est raffinée, variée et généreuse.
Je recommande fortement.
Merci à Isabelle et Michel pour leur accueil.

Magisch hotel in leuke stad
Vanaf het binnenkomen wordt je met open armen ontvangen door de gastvrouw Isabelle,je voelt je direct thuis.
Al onze verwachtingen werden overtroffen :
Top gastvrijheid,mooie propere ruime kamer,lekker eten,uitmuntende service,
Gezellig zwembad,mooie omgeving,...
Ons hondje Tommy werd eveneens met veel liefde behandeld.
Bedankt team edward 1 en tot binnenkort

Wonderful hospitality by the hotelier Isabelle and her team. Fabulous breakfast and meals. The rooms were beautiful, clean and comfortable.

What a wonderful place to stay!||Very clean and comfortable rooms, interesting, elegant decor and ideally placed for a short walk into the town.||We brought my 88 year old mum, who has never been to France and she had a lovely time! Isabelle, the owner, was so kind to mum, checking on her, bringing her fresh milk for her tea and calling her in the morning as she forgot her alarm clock - we didn’t have to do anything!||Thank you for your help!||Our rooms were left spotless every day and the four days we had went far too quickly! Our room, 16, was a good size and has some lovely views. We slept well as it was quiet and peaceful. Mum had room 11 and was very comfortable there - great shower.||The weather was good so we used the pool area each day - plenty of sun beds for the guests and not one sign of ‘reserving’ sun beds that you sometimes find in other hotels!

Fantastic experience in every aspect! We are already planning a return trip and we will use the hotel as a base for at least 4 days.

We felt welcomed and enjoyed the elegant ambience and friendly welcome at most. The breakfast is delicious and we can only recommend to also plan at least one visit to the restaurant - one of the best dinners in my life. Thanks a lot to the Team of Chateau Hotel-Restaurant Edward 1er

We have been to Chateau Hotel Edward 1er several times and each visit has been a delight … this one was no exception. Isobelle and Michel are most excellent hosts who make you welcome and ensure that you enjoy your visit. We would always recommend this charming hotel in Monpazier.

Another wonderful stay at this lovely hotel. We received excellent hospitality from Isabelle and Michel and all of their staff. Nothing is too much trouble and Isabelle was most helpful with making reservations and suggesting places to visit. Of which there are plenty in this area.||The highlight was the excellent dinner and breakfasts in the hotel restaurant. This really is a special place.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful chateaux hotel set in lovely grounds . Staff are very attentive. The restaurant is fine dining and the food was exceptional. |It is close to the main square In the village. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Tout était parfait durant notre séjour.|Un accueil agréable et un personnel aux petits soins, mention spéciale à notre agréable serveuse et sa citronnade, une belle chambre et une literie confortable, un très beau cadre avec notamment une agréable piscine et enfin, un restaurant où tout est aussi beau que bon. Nous allons revenir avec plaisir.

Très bon séjour chez Edward 1er. Très bel hôtel, belle chambre, personnel accueillant et prévenant. Petit déjeuner de qualité.|Seule réserve qui enlève une étoile : le dîner au restaurant dont le rapport qualité/prix n'est pas satisfaisant. C'est bon mais ne vaut pas le prix demandé.|Cela reste un très bon séjour et un bel endroit.

Chateau Edward 1er è stato una splendida sosta nel nostro viaggio nel Perigord. Personale molto gentile e ambiente accogliente. Purtroppo non abbiamo potuto cenare al ristorante perché era il giorno di chiusura. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Assolutamente consigliato!

Très bon séjour de 2 jours. Personnel accueillant et professionnel.|Chambre propre, parfaitement insonorisée. Literie de grande qualité;|Petit déjeuner délicieux.|Dommage que le spa est été en réparation. Il semblerait que c'était indiqué sur le site mais je n'ai pas vu cette annonce.|En tout cas une excellente adresse à privilégier

Isabelle greeted us with enthusiasm and joy. We've stayed in many fine accommodations, and we can't remember a better experience. Isabelle speaks English and French. Isabelle invited us for a welcome drink even though our room was ready. She is the epitome of a great host, taking time to acquaint us with the village and making sure we had dinner reservations. We enjoyed two wonderful dinners at the Chateau; one outside in the lovely, fragrant garden. Breakfasts were a gastronomic treat. I have to also mention the staff at the hotel and in the restaurant. They work very hard to provide a wonderful guest experience whether its drinks in the bar, dinner on the patio or breakfast in the dining room.||The hotel's decor features local artisan's work which we appreciated. ||Chateau Edward 1er is more than an accommodation, it is an experience of elegance and pleasure. The village is charming and full of talented artisans. Nearby attractions are an easy drive from the Chateau. The hotel has its own parking lot.

Ce séjour nous a été offert pour notre anniversaire de mariage. Nous avons été reçus comme des rois. Personnel aux petits soins. Nous sommes ravis ! Nous avons pu profiter d'un hôtel 4 étoiles pour la première fois et nous ne regrettons pas !!

Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen und Entschleunigen
Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Hotel liegt in einem wunderschönen, idyllischen Örtchen und strahlt eine ganz besondere, romantische Atmosphäre aus.
Das gesamte Team war unglaublich freundlich und aufmerksam – man fühlt sich sofort willkommen und gut aufgehoben. Auch das hoteleigene Restaurant war ein Highlight: sehr zu empfehlen, sowohl kulinarisch als auch vom Ambiente her.
Man muss gezielt in diesen Ort fahren – er liegt abseits der großen Touristenrouten –, aber genau das macht seinen Charme aus. Es lohnt sich absolut, wenn man Ruhe, Stil und authentische Gastfreundschaft sucht.
Ein perfekter Ort, um zur Ruhe zu kommen, den Alltag hinter sich zu lassen und die charmante Umgebung zu genießen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Un sans faute pour cet hôtel et son restaurant. Belle chambre bien équipée et propre avec une literie confortable, un personnel très accueillant et aux petits soins, mention spéciale pour la citronnade improvisée et notre serveuse souriante. Un bel emplacement, une piscine agréable. Le restaurant propose une cuisine savoureuse et raffinée, un délice. Nous avons déjà réservé un prochain séjour et nous avons hâte d’y être.

Très belle adresse que nous recommandons vivement. Le restaurant était excellent et l’accueil très chaleureux . Le village à proximité est à découvrir. L’idéal serait de rester quelques jours pour profiter au maximum de tous les environs. À bientôt

Absolutely DIVINE, really enjoyed our stay, in fact our stay was too short- such a charming hotel and grounds! The Chateau is amazing, warm & friendly staff, and an excellent value. Will definitely stay again in!!! The bed and pillows so cozy too!!

Todo perfecto. La atención personalizada. El entorno idílico. Cuidan al máximo los detalles: cubiertos de plata, vajilla de Limoges. Manteles y servilletas de tejido de calidad.
Es un lugar muy pero que muy recomendable. Nosotros sólo fuimos a comer pero a la próxima ocasión nos quedaremos en el hotel.

L'accueil et les chambres sont particulièrement soignés. Le restaurant est une magnifique expérience avec des cuissons et saveurs parfaitement maîtrisées. Un séjour qui permet de se relaxer et de se ressourcer. Lorsqu'il fait beau, le coin détente autour de la piscine est très appréciable.

I booked the Edward 1er for a group of travelers who were over there to visit us in France. Everyone was thrilled with their time at the hotel! From the charming and comfortable rooms, to the delicious food and impeccable service it was a dream come true for all our guests. The personal service went way above anything I have seen, and we travel a lot. The staff all knew our guests and spoke to them by name at the end of the week, making sure they were comfortable and even being pro active about bringing a heavy bag down as we were checking out. A truly unforgettable experience ! Thank you to all!
