Ein wunderbar geführtes kleines Schlosshotel mit 20 Zimmern. Sehr aufmerksam und immer sehr freundlich. Sehr gutes Frühstück und einem sehr gutem Restaurant. Eine absolute Empfehlung für die Dordogne. Wir waren für 7 Tage im Hotel und rundherum glücklich.

Accueil chaleureux, dans un bel endroit, tout est de qualité. Les chambres très confortables, les petits déjeuners sont copieux et variés. Le personnel très professionnel et très gentil. Nous avons passé un très bon week-end malgré une météo peu clémente. La région est tellement belle et riche.

Charming hotel and restaurant in the bastide (fortified market town) of Monpazier. Room was spacious and had a beautiful, elevated view of the countryside. The breakfast buffet was well-stocked with local treats and protein options. The hotel staff, especially the managers, were outgoing and helpful and spoke excellent English. We had one dinner in the restaurant, which was outstanding. ||There doesn’t seem to be an elevator to the 1st floor (2nd floor to Americans), but hotel staff are extremely willing to carry bags up and down. There are also many ground-floor room options.||The hotel is steps away from the center of town, but admittedly, almost every building in Monpazier is just steps away from the center of town.||One caution: Monpazier is not a bustling city, it’s a quiet town, at least in April. The dining options can be limited, especially from Saturday afternoon through Monday nights. If you’re staying here over a long weekend, I would make a plan for where to eat and when. I would definitely recommend the hotel restaurant for at least one dinner during your stay.
