We live nearby and visit here often. The location is lovely, overlooking the Dordogne River. The atmosphere is casual and pleasant--wooden tables, red walls, and an open area where the cooking takes place. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food is traditional Basque, and is delicious. Recommend making a reservation.

J ai beaucoup aimé. Personnel très aimable. Repas excellent. Prix raisonnable. Et vue imprenable sur le château. Je recommande.

Had a super meal - Piquillos stuffed with salt cod on a very lovely rich tomatoe & garlic sauce - followed by Tartare de Boeuf with homemade chips cooked in beef fat. Excellent service and a lovely table looking up to the castle, across to the bridge and down onto the river. Thank you for having looked after us so well.
