We spent an excellent 7 nights at Le Capeyrou in August 2022 in our own caravan. The location, beneath the stunning Beynac castle, beside the Dordogne where you can paddle board or canoe past other castles, was excellent. The campsites facilities were spot on; large pitch, stunning swimming pool, ample toilets, showers, basins, washing and camp kitchen facilities all kept clean, a fabulous bar, inside and outside games areas (large field for football etc, trampolines, table tennis, pool table etc) and always smiling, friendly and helpful staff. We highly recommend for location, facilities, cleanliness and friendliness.

Right on the Dordogne and a short walk to Beynac where there’s a few restaurants. Great boulangerie over the road

Deuxième séjour. Situation idéale, piscine géniale, bar à côté des jeux très appréciable. Point négatif: manque de sanitaires, de plus ils sont mixtes. Prix des foodtruck trop élevés.

La beauté du site et un camping propre et très bien équipé. Le personnel est adorable et toujours dispo. C’est notre 2ème séjour dans ce camping et nous y reviendrons sans hésitations.

This is the campsite of dreams, breathtaking views, amazing access to the river, clean favilities, shady pitches and friendly staff with an amazing kids play area- we loved everything about it.

It was our 8th visit to Capeyrou and it’s still the best! Staff are brilliant, site is fabulous and we still love it!

Een fijne, compacte camping. Alles binnen handbereik. Heel aardig personeel die je graag wil helpen. Sanitair zeer netjes. Mooie ruime kampeer plekken. Fijne tijd gehad.

Abgesehen von den Stromausfällen und lärmenden Campern ein gut gelegener Platz.

Door de centrale ligging kun je vanuit deze camping veel leuke d8ngen bezoeken binnen een half uur rijden, uiteraard het prachtige uitzicht op het vasteland van beenachtige en de direct ligging aan de Dordogne. 1 keer in de week een avondje uit en een heerlijk zeemden, wat kun je nog meer wensen.

Prachtig gelegen camping waar je lekker tot rust kan komen

Het is een leuke gezellige schone camping, van veel gemakken voorzien en een gradioos uitzicht. Mooie week gehad.

Prima vertoeven op camping Le Capeyrou. Middelgrote camping met alle voorzieningen die je nodig hebt. Leuke plekken met gelukkig veel schaduw tegen de zon. Faciliteiten zijn prima en voldoende aanwezig, behalve bij het houten sanitair hutje hadden meer toiletten geplaatst kunnen worden want die worden door veel mensen gebruikt (slechts 2 aanwezig). Maar fijn dat ze er staan anders moet je wat verder lopen naar het 'hoofdgebouw facilitaire voorzieningen'. Zwembad is top ! Met mooi uitzicht op het kasteel van Beynac. Plekken zijn groot genoeg dus aan ruimte geen gebrek.

De camping ligt geweldig bij het kasteel en elke ochtend of avond komen er luchtbalonnen voorbij. Het zwembad is fantastisch en alle plekken hebben veel schaduw. Enige minpunt was dat op de speelweide er tot 23 uur veel lawaai werd gemaakt.

This was m second visit and will definitely be back soon. The site is beautifully situated and tarrefully shaded without bing overgrown, facilities are good and clean and the staff always really helpful - 10/10!!

A super campsite right on the banks of the Dordogne River. Very friendly and helpful staff, both in reception and in the bar. It's a small to medium sized site with grassy pitches and some rental accommodation, safari style tents on stilts.

There is a lovely main pool plus a smaller one for children. It's not particularly large so it does fill up very quickly. The river and a nearby beach are close, the river is accessed via two gates with combination locks to prevent unwanted access, and the river beach is five minutes walk along the pathway. Really close and a great place to have a dip. Busy, as it's the midway point and end point for some canoe trips. There's also a cafe right next to the river which serves draught beer, from the region, beer of Perigoed; La Bierre Du Périgord. Not a bad pint for €6.

The campsite is very well maintained. There are two main shower blocks, with the larger of the two set in an old Périgord style barn with disabled showers & washrooms plus a laundry room on the ground floor, and mixed sex toilets, showers and wash basins to the first floor. I saw both washblocks being clean in the morning and late afternoon. There was no problem with hot water either, late morning, early afternoon or late evening, there was always hot water in the showers or for washing up. The washblocks are both modern.

The site is well laid out, plenty of space and with pitches of a really good size. Our 7.2m motorhome was easily accommodated on our pitch with loads of space to spare. On some sites we've stayed on the pitches have been quite tight for soace, but on Camping Capeyrou our pitch would easily have made two pitches on some that we've visited. It also had plenty of shade, as did most pitches on the site. Electricity was with our 25m cable length and water was right on our pitch. The grey waste wqs in front of the smaller of the two washblocks as was the chemical toilet waste, which was very clean. Access to the grey waste was nice & easy.

It's not cheap, but it really is a great spot. Where else can you sit relaxing under a 12th century chateau right by the river Dordogne.

The bar, as with reception, is staffed by friendly, welcoming and friendly staff. The drinks aren't overly expensive either; with at least 4 beers on draught including Leffe and Jupiler. Ok there's no restaurant but that doesn't hold the site back at all, each night a 'food wagon' visits the site, offering freshly cook meals that include pizza, fish & chips plus other dishes including Alsace speciality ones. So a great choice, again not cheap but all freshly prepared & ensuring you don't order the same meal two nights on the trot.

Right across the road there's a bakers, a butchers and a small supermarket selling every day essentials. There are also several snack bars & cafes all within a stone throws. Further afield, and I mean 5 to 10 minutes maximum is the village of Beynac-et-Cazenac. A picturesque & pretty village with boutique type shops, cafes, bars and restaurants.

A great site enjoying a great location. You can also book a day canoeing on the river at reception.

Een fantastische camping met ruime plekken, vriendelijk personeel en schoon sanitair.

The campsite staff are so friendly and helpful, beautiful views overlooking the chateaux even from the swimming pool, mobile eateries visiting the site each evening are a welcome touch. Bar in campsite brilliant and shower, toilets etc really good. Pool lovely, gets very busy but still enjoyable. As it us just off busy main road cycling is limited but the plus side of that is there is a lovely variety of small shops, restaurants and bars right on the door step and of course a lovely chateaux to visit. Access to the river and canoeing just behind camp

Our third trip to LeCapeyrou and another beautiful week. Very helpful and friendly staff, a beautifully well kept sight and a stunning location. Perfect!

Camping bien agencé avec une belle piscine ,les emplacements sont grands,les sanitaires sont propres et suffisants

Prettige camping met goed sanitair en zwembad. Gelegen langs de Dordogne. Op loopafstand een kasteel met schitterend uitzicht, restaurant en aan de overkant van de weg een uitstekende bakker, charcuterie/slager en een kleine supermarkt. Op de camping zit een bar, goed bemande receptie en regelmatig komt er een food truck. Vanaf de camping kan er gestart worden met kanotochten. Wij hebben het er naar ons zin gehad.
