Je comprends c'est l'hiver, mais..
I was seated alone, upstairs, in a corner. I could hear people on the main level talking, eating, enjoying. I don't understand why I wasn't allowed to enjoy the main dining room also.
Le verre de vin blanc was terrible..worse than the cheapest wines to be found in the States. Like vinegar.
The food was not of good quality.
The mushrooms had dirt or sand in them. The other vegetables were from a frozen grocery store bag. The duck leg had no seasoning and no sauce.
I have visited many parts of France in my life, so I am well-versed in French dining at most levels.
I spoke to them in French, I asked if it was too late for lunch, and I ate quickly. I tried my best; I never want to be the ugly American, but in many visits to France, this was the first time I desperately wanted to leave during l'entrée and go someplace else.
