CHEVAL BLANC ST. BARTH ISLE DE FRANCE ^{* * * * *}

Nous avons eu la chance de visiter le Cheval Blanc St-Barth, et ce fut une très belle découverte. Niché sur la magnifique plage de Flamands, l’hôtel incarne l’élégance à la française avec une touche caribéenne raffinée. Le service y est irréprochable, à la fois discret, chaleureux et très attentionné. Nous avons déjeuné à La Cabane, le restaurant pieds dans le sable de l’hôtel, dans un cadre idyllique face à l’océan. Le déjeuner était délicieux : une cuisine fraîche, simple et savoureuse, dans une ambiance chic et détendue. Une adresse d’exception qui allie luxe, authenticité et art de vivre, que nous recommandons vivement.

Nous sommes venus prendre un verre entre amis hier au Cheval Blanc, et nous avons passé un très bon moment !
Un grand merci à notre serveur, qui a été aux petits soins, très professionnel et d’une grande gentillesse.

Nous avons également goûté quelques desserts, notamment le flan à la vanille.
Esthétiquement, il était très joli, avec une crème onctueuse et bien parfumée. Seul petit bémol : la pâte feuilletée manquait un peu de cuisson et de croustillant.
Mais dans l’ensemble, c’était une belle découverte gourmande dans un cadre agréable.

The bungalow was perfect: spacious, with a beautiful terrace, excellent bedding, a wide variety of soft drinks. And to top it all, staff interaction was excellent. Our alchemist(Auriane) was always available with a smile and Thomas gave us the best breakfast experience! Also, Claire organized a perfect private beach experience for my wife’s birthday!

Best honeymoon ever! My wife and I had the most amazing time. The staff was exceptional and the entire atmosphere was A+! We are definitely looking forward to returning and enjoying this place of paradise again and again! I highly recommend if you are going to St. Barths that you go here!

Our stay offered some real highlights, including a stunning natural setting, scenic hikes to Colombier Beach, and generally very good food. The main pool area was clean, and we appreciated thoughtful touches like complimentary hats, snacks and non-alcoholic drinks in the minibar. Wildlife like turtles, hermit crabs, lizards and iguanas added a unique charm when walking through the resort grounds.||However, we encountered a number of issues that significantly impacted our experience. The indoor accommodations lacked the same level of care. On the first night, we found dozens of bugs in our room - including ants on the bed sheets and towels, and a large spider in the bathroom. Mosquito bites kept us up, and we ended up having to stay up to clean just to make the room feel livable, which was far from the relaxing start we'd hoped for. Even after that, it was hard to feel at ease - every night brought new bugs, and the lingering stress and uncertainty about whether any might be harmful made it difficult to sleep comfortably. It felt like we were constantly on edge and scanning the room.||Maintenance and service also fell short of expectations. The bathroom sometimes lacked hot water, and the body wash dispenser didn't work. When we requested a replacement, we were given shampoo instead.. A request for a buckwheat pillow resulted in receiving a cork one. These mismatches left us felling frustrated and doubting the resort's attention to detail.||The private pool was another letdown, with dead bugs and bird feathers floating in it, making it feel unhygienic. Additionally, safety concerns arose: a slippery tub led to bruises, and a chair had exposed spikes that cut my finger.||I had high expectations based on the resort's brand, and while the location and food largely delivered, the poor room hygiene and repeated service missteps made it hard to fully relax or enjoy the experience.
