Wow! My wife and I visited Dr Wine while staying in Dijon on our Honeymoon (on our way to Beaune). The food and wine options were excellent. The menu is tapas style and you can either choose the recommendations or your own tapas and wine. We chose our own tapas and paired it with wine ourselves. We had 4 courses with 4 different wines split between us. The food was excellent and we were very impressed with the speed of service.
The wine menu itself was brilliant, and reasonably priced for brilliant wines by the glass. We were particularly impressed with the 2 Dr Wine collaboration wines that we enjoyed firstly, 2021 BOURGOGNE Cuvée Dr. Wine Domaine Paul Pillot. This white was crazy with such a powerful scent and flavour of toast/ sesame seeds. Secondly, 2022 HAUTES-CÔTE DE NUITS Dr. Wine, Domaine David Duband, this paired very well with the slow cooked beef. Our server Romane was so lovely and very helpful and we enjoyed talking with her throughout the evening. She asked why we were in Dijon and we told her we were on our honeymoon driving around France. Shortly after asking for our bill, 2 complimentary glasses of Cremant de Bourgogne arrived with congratulations from the front of house, I cannot remember his name. I must say, we only mentioned our wedding at the end of our visit just before asking for the bill and so I have no doubt that the service and the food is this good all the time and no special measures were in place for us.
Dr Wine is an example of great food, great wine and great service. We enjoyed the wine so much that we purchased 2 bottles the next day. We will go out of our way next time we are near just to visit here again.
