Wonderful boutique hotel, surrounded by the beautiful bay. We loved our stay here, the rooms were comfortable and the beach/pool area were fantastic. The sunset here is simply fantastic! The only area of improvement is the staff. They did not seem to want to be there and seemed annoyed rather than excited.

We stayed at Cooks Bay Hotel in Moorea for just one night between getting off a weeklong catamaran trip and flying home to LA—and our only regret is that we didn’t have more time here! This boutique hotel was so beautiful, welcoming, and so thoughtfully designed for families. ||Our room was perfect for our family of four — there was a comfy bed in one room and a sofa bed in the living room which also had a kitchenette and mini fridge. The space was modern, clean, and functional, with island charm. Our room opened up to the patio which led to the pool. ||Dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, Le Cook’s Bar & Restaurant, was a highlight. The restaurant is set at the end of a footbridge over the water with the most stunning views of Cook’s Bay, dramatic peaks, and the Teavaroa Pass. There was live music the night we were there, which made it feel extra special. The next morning, we grabbed breakfast nearby and enjoyed it on our patio - it was such a nice way to start the day.||Our kids had the best time in the pool, and enjoyed lounging in the beachside cabanas. We also enjoyed snorkeling right in front (bring your own gear!), and my brother and nephew took the complimentary kayaks out for a paddle around the bay. We didn’t use the gym, but it was nice to know it was there, along with yoga offerings. ||The location is fantastic—great as a base for exploring the island, and there are a few restaurants and shops within walking distance. That said, we would recommend having a rental car to see more of Moorea. ||Everything about Cooks Bay Hotel and Suites was special, family-friendly, and welcoming. From the kind staff to the peaceful setting, it really struck the perfect balance between comfort and charm. We’d absolutely love to come back—next time, hopefully for a longer stay.
