Exquisite! The nicest resort on Moorea. Rated #1 and we agree. The grounds were lovely and the service is friendly, quick on requests, and they make you feel like family. The restaurants are to die for. We had the luxury of having the filet and the veal. Both were prepared as requested. This was the first time we had the veal cooked truly medium. The veal was served with a pineapple fruit compote, which made the meat taste out of this world. You couldn’t tell the meat was flown in. The first course was a noodle fruit dish. It was suppose to be super spicy but wasn’t spicy at all. The tuna tartar was great. It came with a great sauce to top off the texture of the raw fish.

The dessert was chocolate. Very rich and creamy with raspberry sorbet. I apologize I don’t remember the name of the dessert but was the chocolate one.

Do choose this hotel for your stay. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by what you get for your money. Very romantic.

Rooms were great. Very spacious. Very comfortable. Great location. I didn’t care for the service. We booked through Costco Travel and traveled from Los Angeles. We had a 8 hr flight. We arrived at 5am in the morning and Customs weren’t even ready for us. So we were there for an hour an half. Got to our bus. Made it to the ferry. Made it to the other bus. Then arrived at the hotel around 10:30am and was told our room wouldn’t be ready til 4pm. So you’re telling me I flew from Los Angeles to Tahiti and you can’t have a room ready for our arrival which was 4,117 miles. We get to sit around a pool with no heater? No hospitality room? No free of charge lunch for the inconvenience. Come on Man!!!

We stayed 3 nights in this paradise and enjoyed every moment! Snorkeling from your own deck is so awesome! The restaurant and bar were the only disappointment. The buffet was very expensive, and the quality was mediocre. The service was slow (50 minutes to get 1 drink) and 1 server was actually rude. We discovered a restaurant called Rudy's, this place is amazing! Don't miss it when visiting Moorea, no matter where you stay. The Crab stuffed Parrot Fish is possibly the best seafood dish I have ever had! ???? And they even provide free transportation to and from your hotel!

The beach bungalows are perfectly located with enough land between each unit. Gives you the option for privacy with a fantastic view. The staff is outstanding. It's not often you find such a caring thoughtful professional staff who live with a genuine smile and a willingness to be helpful.

This is our second visit to Sofitel Kia Ora. We were here two years ago and enjoyed it so much that we came back this year. The staff is very friendly and will always be there to help you. My wife has mobility issues so they bring a golf cart to take us to their dining room. The have both over the water cabanas and land cabanas. The resort is get in great shape. The cabanas are cleaned daily. They have staff to help with any questions that you may have. They can arrange tours and advise you on places to see or where to shop.

This was our first experience staying at a Sofitel, and let me say it won't be our last!! The customer service was amazing from beginning to end. We stayed at the Sofitel on the island of Moorea in French Polynesia. The woman (Cecilia) who greeted us and checked us in was so kind and accommodating. We had no reservations, but stopped in on a whim in hopes there was a room available for us. We stay in room 409 the first night and room 431 the next 3 nights. She graciously offered us 409 the first night because that was all the had available, but we understood (and were completely Okay with) we had to move. Jack helped us get our room keys transferred over, what a great guy!! Also, giant shoutout to Tama the bartender at the Beach Bar. That guy was so wonderful. Not only does he have a fantastic sense of humor, he was quick to make drinks and helped us get reservations at Rudy's, barely 2 hrs before dinner time. We appreciate everything Cecilia, Jack and Tama did for us while we were staying at this beautiful resort. Also, shout-out to the great staff who came and got a lizard out of our bungalow. We can't wait to come back and stay at your beautiful resort!

Everything about the property was beautiful, from the beach to the accommodations. Best advice is to eat in the bar and order from the tapas menu. The food in the main restaurant was lacking flavor. Breakfast buffet was good. It felt like they were understaffed during the day. Staff were very friendly and good at their job but they needed more help.

Sofitel is a great property. Very kind staff. They make you feel so comfortable. A lot of great deals and vouchers. Will be back for sure.

Grounds & beach area are nice. Our room was clean however we got ants in our room and didn’t even get to enjoy the cookies they left in our room. Then resort has bathrooms in lobby area and they were negligent in leaving a doorknob that was razor sharp that should have been replaced. 1st day we arrived i noticed tape around doorknob. Next day the tape had been removed as i turned doorknob to lock it it split my finger open to wear it bleed. Front desk only had a small first aid kit. Spoke to manager day we left resort and he didn’t seem to care and just ask if i had a good time. We were originally booked at the hilton but because of construction we had booked instead at the sofitel. Wish i had stuck to the Hilton.

Snorkeling straight off the bungalow was amazing! Clear waters and amazing views. The customer service was incredible! Rooms might need a bit of TLC, but hardly noticeable with everything else being so amazing! We would stay again

We stayed in an Oceanview bungalow which was right on the water to the far right of the resort. It was a very nice view and the room itself was nice. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very big. Our view was mostly over the water with a the overwater bungalows slightly blocking our view to the left. The same bungalows to the left of us would have had their view almost completely blocked by the overwater bungalows.

For the most part our bungalow was very quiet and private. Except that construction was going on by the water just one bungalow away. We could see about 4 workers and a tractor working on the shoreline everyday from around 8am-4pm. It was loud and probably is something this resort should warn you of. If you had any of the bungalows to the right of us it would have really been disturbing and would have been right in front of your room. For the cost, they shouldn't rent the ones out right by the construction until it's done (ours was probably ok to rent as it was far enough away, but still loud if sitting on your deck).

The breakfast buffet wasn't too bad, the omelet/egg made-to-order station was the best part. A lot of variety of juices. Some pastries but honestly could have used more variety there. The other hot food wasn't the best, we didn't eat much of that. We ate lunch at the resort once and it was just ok - not worth the price we paid for what we got (which was just a croque monsieur which really wasn't what it was supposed to be). Still there was enough at breakfast to keep us full until later in the day.

The staff at the resort are very nice - by far this is the best part of the resort. They are very friendly and always willing to do anything they can to help you out. In general most of the people in Tahiti are very friendly but the resort was exceptional in this case.

The Hilton is on the other side of Moorea and probably in a better spot with more stores/restaurants around. So a car is helpful if you stay here (if you want to explore the island). But this makes it quieter which we liked. The Hilton also looked way more busy so probably would have been a lot louder than the Sofitel Overall this resort is very nice. It's expensive, but it is Tahiti where everything is expensive (and has gotten more so the past few years).

J'avais un bungalow qui donnait directement sur la plage, face à Tahiti : c'était splendide ! Le personnel est très attentionné, le lagon est très beau avec plein de poisson à voir avec un masque et un tuba. Le restaurant K propose un diner en 5 ou 7 plats très raffinés, on s'est régalé. Le buffet du petit-déjeuner est très varié. Il y a plein d'animations polynésiennes très sympa.

Superbe Hôtel et le personnel est au petit soin. Un petit coin de paradis

Nous avons testé ce lieu tout simplement magique et paradisiaque durant notre voyage de noces. J'en ai même eu les larmes aux yeux à mon arrivée. Les bungalows sont très confortables, notamment ceux sur l'eau. Avec toutes ses spécialités le buffet du soir est excellent.
