Super interesting story, but by far the worst guided tour experience. I took a tour in April 2025 and we had a lady guide. She was late and when we finally started she was speaking so softly that we couldn't hear anything so my husband politely asked her to speak louder and she was super angry and totally rude. All tourists that were with us and asked some questions also faced her angry to answer them. It was super tense and everyone was complaining and even making fun of her because it was really ridiculous. In the end I gave them a feedback about the tour and the guy I was talking to also got angry with me and ignored my feedback which was very polite by the way, I was nice and calm because it's a pity that a place full of interesting history "welcome" tourists like this. If you don't ask questions, can handle the bad humor of the guide and have good ears, then you can take this tour..
