Soft pillows.
Working air conditioning.
An adequate room and en-suite for an overnight stay.
It would have been nice if there had been a complimentary bottle of water in room.
It would have been nice if there had been coffee making facilities in the room and a small fridge.
When we arrived (after 4:00 as we were informed the gates would be locked shut until then) there were no spare parking spaces, so we parked outside, which was fine, but when given our bill, we had been charged €10 for parking in the hotel car park.
We pointed out that we had parked outside and this charge was removed.
There was no electricity when we arrived which we accept was not the owners fault, however we, like other guests, had booked dinner there. But the owner, instead of suggesting he organised some take aways from areas which had electricity, was suggesting guests get in their cars and drive out to somewhere for dinner... Hardly an approach that demonstrates a desire to look after one's guests, especially us, who had driven all day from Italy.
Fortunately, electricity, was restored before 10:00 pm and some dinner options were then made available. Dinner was fine.
Breakfast was €14, but when we went down at around 8:25, there was no one in attendance, not set tables. No sign of anyone a true, full-on, fend for yourself, help yourself breakfast.
Although apparently the first ones to breakfast, (as the other guests arrived down later) there was approximately a desert spoon of dried-up scrambled egg. No bread. There were approximately 8 rolls and similar croissants. No one appeared to top-up the scrambled egg and no one was there to ask if we could have some more.
Reception was closed, with a sign informing us of this fact.
Breakfast was only til 9:00am and we were expected to be out of our rooms by 10:00.
A large beer was €9 (more than a pint in London) and a can of water was €4 from the bar.
We have stayed in hundreds of hotels over our summer European a D classic car trips, and have had many great hotel experiences and some poor experiences. Some have been exceptional.
Approximately twenty days ago en route to Italy, we stayed in another Logis hotel. This was on in the category of great. Sadly, our experience of this Logis hotel was not so great.
Our impression was that either the owner dislikes the English, or perhaps is tired of running the hotel. It must be hard work and one should make allowances.
Personally, would we stay there again? Sadly no. But others may have a better experience.
