Tea at the Balmoral is an over the top experience which puts Japanese ceremonies in the shade. Beautiful surroundings and an extraordinary range of teas and eats, fortunately with a doggy bag. Check with your Bank Manager before you go, but it is worth it.

Very much enjoying our stay here at the Balmoral for my partners Birthday, all the staff go the extra mile and they really get to know you on a personal level which makes the whole experience feel exclusive and welcoming. The rib eye steak in the Brasserie is very much recommended and breakfast to your room is a must do. The rooms are also very clean and spotless with comfortable bed. Definitely returning and eager to go to other Rocco Forte hotels in future.

A fabulous place to stay. The most comfortable bed and pillows ever! All staff highly efficient and helpful. Afternoon tea excellent. But be warned practice eating loads!! Hope to return in the future.

Dated, extraordinarily expensive, and hard to justify for you get. Mega lolz. Fighting youth and struggling homeless people begging at the train station exit is the ironic cherry on top.

Excellent hotel! The room was so Spacious and felt luxurious. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and the room service is offered late and tasty.

Only dropped in to deliver cars to US customers but very limited parking! Probably due to Edinburgh City Councils hatred of motor vehicles.

With a new grand hotel opening every week it seems the Balmoral is still the best hotel in Edinburgh. From the whisky selection at the snug to the perfectly made cocktails in the bar it has all the refinements you need when not enjoying the beautiful rooms. Originally built as a railway hotel it used to have its own entrance to Waverley. Afternoon tea is also lovely as is the spa and pool. This is the high bar, the rest just try to keep up.

Its a bucket list place for me couldnt afford to stay so went in to take pictures and decided to have tea and scones. Stunning tearoom with harpist. Beautiful place could have sat there all day. Staff really really lovely. Scones ???????????? just a lovely way to spend an hour. Highly recommend *****

Had an amazing experience at Balmoral during an recent event we hosted there. The service was outstanding, the setting for our event was perfect and in line with all requirements and the food absolutely delicious. All the members of that team that supported us were amazing, particularly Ligkoraq Xhoga who made sure that everything went smoothly and attended to every need and request we had during the evening.
Thank you Balmoral and team and looking forward to next time.
