My go to place for a scrumptious afternoon tea with my close friends.

Had afternoon tea in the dining room. Very good food and service, but atmosphere was off due to lack of any background music, especially during the Christmas holidays. I mentioned it to the staff who said they will be doing renovations “ next year” and will have music then. They haven’t heard of speakers and Bluetooth? Come on guys!

Un bel établissement où la gentillesse et le professionnalisme du personnel n'a d'égal que le raffinement du décor et la richesse des matériaux. Une super adresse pour un super break notammentt en amoureux. Une expérience très british.
Really good selection of sandwiches especially salmon / egg with truffle and ham

I would say scones were decent but didn’t wow me enough ( maybe as I live in the Cotswolds ) ! The sweet selection was also nothing compared to other afternoon teas that I have been to in London. Cake was a bit dry and we didn’t eat it. Only 2 choices / apart from the cake in the dessert section.
We went for the champagne option which was Bollinger Rose. Have to say they poured a generous glass of Bolly.
Price was £95/- a head with 1 glass of champagne which is standard I guess for most of the luxury hotels in London.
Verdict - 4/5
Budget - £190/- for 2 with 1 glass of bubbly
Not sure if I will come back as there are plenty of options in London to try next time !
