Went for Afternoon Tea and had a lovely time. Such nice setting and I wish I could

Had a wonderful time at Athenaeum hotel. We were assisted from the start to end with such great hospitality. The room was amazing and clean with surprises; heart balloons, slice of cake, anniversary greeting card, and mini teddy bear that I get to keep. Food was good and I really enjoyed the desserts and presentation. We haven’t tried the spa but we overall enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again.

I highly recommend The Athenaeum. It was the perfect place for my family to stay in London. Centrally located, so really easy to get anywhere. The residences feel like you have your own apartment with your own entrance, full one bedroom with bunk beds for the kids, a living room, dining area, and small kitchen (our unit had a small washer/dryer). It was so nice to be able to come back from our days of exploring to relax in all that space! Daniel out front was super welcoming and helped us many a time find our way to food and transport. There’s an amazing Tapas place right around the corner (La Pirata). Tons of great cafes and restaurants nearby in the Mayfair area. Lots to walk to and get lost in. Hyde Park is right there. Had an amazing brunch at Queens of Mayfair. Fantastic experience all around.

Upon checkout, they included in a bill a customary "tip" for the staff. They print it out automatically and ask you whether you wish to pay it. We refused so they re-printed the standard bill.
It's already an annoying practice that belongs to some cheap restaurants or Starbucks.
First time we ever saw such a dodgy practice in a hotel, and extremely surprising to see it for a hotel of this standard.

wir wollten uns auf diesem Weg nochmals von Herzen bei euch bedanken! Ein Hotel das wir als Zuhause empfanden durch den wunderbaren und unfassbaren guten Service des gesamten Teams inklusive der fantastischen Leiterin Cathrine ein unvergesslicher Aufenthalt wurde. Wenn wir wieder in‘s schöne London kommen dann definitiv in euer Haus.
P.S. Noah wird euch vermissen und natürlich die tollen Pflanzen und Steine :-).
