Osteria Il Papavero. Se volete vivere un'esperienza dovete provare l'osteria il Papavero. Poco sopra Gaiole in Chianti, a Barbischio, borgo antico con, ad oggi: 18 abitanti, 17 gatti e 5 cani. Il locale ha posti all'interno e fuori, è consigliata la prenotazione. Si mangia veramente bene e una volta entrati ci lasciamo catturare dalla bellezza del locale, tra pietre e travi in legno, tutto come una volta. L'accoglienza è delle migliori. Una volta seduti inizia il viaggio: antipasto, primo, secondo, contorno e dolce per terminare. Ottimi vini serviti anche al calice. Claudio saprà guidarvi nella storia locale facendovi conoscere, oltre ai buoni piatti serviti, il luogo in cui vi trovate. All'interno potrete ammirare la mostra delle opere dell'artista Franco Innocenti. TOP

il Chianti lo conosco benissimo. L'osteria di Barbischio è sicuramente tra le prime 3 location del chianti per qualità della cucina e prezzi adeguati , oltre al fatto che è un ristorante molto carino ed intimo. Claudio in sala è poi di una professionalità e amore per quello che fa disarmante. Tutto al top!

Looking for an idyllic Italian restaurant with authentic food in a quiet Italian village, Il Papevero offers it all. I came here with my wife and parents during our stay nearby.

When you plan a visit, recommend to call ahead to make reservation, it gets busy in the evening with limited spaces outside and inside. Waiters are super friendly, explain entire menu (which is in Italian) to you in English, attentive service!

If you are want pizza, do not come here (not available on the menu). On offer are delicious varieties of pasta and meat. In my opinion, they are better than pizza!

We really enjoyed the dinner at this place. Claudiu was an amazing host and we were served with love. The food was delicious and good quality, the service was fast and super friendly, and the place was cozy and clean. I’d definitely recommend this place.

Wunderschönes kleines Restaurant, dass eine Anfahrt wert ist. Hausgemachte Pasta und selbst geschossenes Wildschwein. Das Essen ist hervorragend! Die anrichte des Dessert etwas aus der Zeit gefallen, aber zum Zunge schnalzen lecker! Wir kommen wieder!

Delightful restaurant serving excellent cuisine. Menu all in Italian but the waiter explained every dish perfectly. Evident that great pride and attention to detail is taken by the team here. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Very bijou and authentic. 5*

Abbiamo mangiato molto bene e il personale è veramente simpatico e molto attento con il cliente.
Abbiamo preso 2 primi, 2 secondi, 1 contorno, una bottiglia di vino, acqua, 2 dolci per un totale di 110€.
Ottimismo rapporto qualità - prezzo.
Ambiente molto rilassante e con un panorama meraviglioso sulle colline toscane.

Lovely place with a great view. Waiters are incredibly nice and funny, even explained the full menu in English. Food was very good. Had a amazing time.
