It's about a really must stop when in Bologna. The owners are really amazing and kind as well as all the staff. While we waited standing up since we hadn't booked, we were welcomed in the best way and offered wine in hand. Awesome and prompt service with the best mood, smile and a high food quality. The tiramisu and the panacotta are great! We highly recommend this traditional and lovely place!!!

Völlig überbewertet. Es gibt tausend bessere Lokale in Bologna Wir hatten uns auf einen schönen letzten Urlaubsabend in diesem Traditionslokal gefreut und es wurde leider ein unangenehmer Abend. Obwohl ich schon etliche Tage vorher reserviert hatte, hat man uns nur draußen einen Tisch angeboten, bei 14 Grad ohne Vorwarnung und ohne angemessene Kleidung oder Decken eine Zumutung. Ich habe den ganzen Abend fürchterlich gefroren, was dem Personal herzlich egal war. Auf unsere Nachfrage hin hieß es stets, drinnen sei kein Platz. Doch dann kamen drei andere Personen, die vor unseren Augen einen Tisch drinnen angeboten bekamen, obwohl sie nur für zwei reserviert hatten. Insgesamt ein sehr unerfreulicher Abend mit dreisten Kellnern und höchst mittelmäßigem Essen.

Ottimo. Insaccati buonissimi, tortellini strepitosi, tiramisù notevole. Solo il prezzo un po eccessivo, ma vale la pena.

It was my last night in Bologna and I remembered I hadn’t had a single serve of pasta Bolognese during my stay! This needed to be rectified before dinner service ended. I’d knocked it back as an option at a wine bar because it just didn’t look right when served to people nearby - I wanted a “good” plate of pasta and this restaurant came up in my research as being a safe bet to provide it. My research was right! Thankfully ????

I’d already had aperitivi so I wasn’t very hungry, but I didn’t let that hold me back. I could tell from the ambiance and preparedness of staff to find me a table for one on a busy night that this was a good restaurant. It shows an easy and successful compromise between casual dining and formal dinner, not at all stuffy and not chaotic either.

The pasta, tagliatelle Bolognese, came very quickly, as did an exceptional glass of red wine (house wines in Italy are very reliable, but this was better than reliable). The pasta looked perfect, the right amount of sauce, perfectly cooked so that the minced meat formed multi sized clumps of deliciousness. I don’t like too much grated cheese as I find it can take away from an appreciation of the sauce and pasta. The table came with a nice basket of bread sticks but I didn’t have any.

I will definitely return next time I’m in Bologna and next time I will be accompanied by an empty tummy so I can properly savour this dish that is rightly loved all around the world ????
