SIMPSON BAY RESORT

I went to Sint Maarten on vacation with my husband in December 2023 and again in June 2024 and both times I chose to stay at Simpson Bay Resort. It was so nice, well located, and staff is so friendly. The second time we felt at home as staff members recognized us and greeted us saying, welcome back! ???? The food is nice, we loved the breakfast and the happy hour at the beach bar. Also, they offer many tours that leave directly from their marina. If I ever go back to the island I’ll stay there again.

Amazing family experience with. 6 y/o and 6 month old, clean and up-to-date room, friendly staff, great views and good value for money. Great location near restaurants, bars and night-life. No noise pollution and ample parking for guests.

Not a luxury resort, but very nice nonetheless. and convenient for all activities!Great, helpful staff. . .on the beach and that’s always a must for me! Has 2 nice pools w/bars, but no hot tub. And 5 restaurants on premises.

I have not been to this resort in over 15 years. Coming back was nice but our room in the Villas was definitely not the best room in the Villas as my parents come each year and have had better rooms in higher floors. We stayed in 210 A and B and requested prior to not have a room on the ground floor as there is no privacy. The room has a nice view but the hotel can be noisy if other guests are loud above moving chairs, playing music, kids running around so keep that in mind. Some nights were noisier than others. Also our room is right by the maids closet so each morning around 9 they gather there and are very loud. We get to beach early so it’s no problem as we were already up but that means our room is last to be cleaned so on service days our room was not ready when we would come back from the beach around 3:30. We had to wait until 4:30 for her to finish and sat on the hot balcony as we already left the beach. Each day we were out of the room by 9 so by 3:30-4 we were ready to leave the beach. Beds were not the most comfortable either and room was dated with many nicks and scuffs in wood furniture and broken bathroom fixtures. Overall the staff were friendly, beach was clean, and the room was clean. The resort has it all from multiple pools, small casino, small deli, multiple restaurants and it is in a great location so that is why it is highly rated. If we had a higher floor away from the maid closet and our room wasn’t cleaned until the end of the day that would have taken our trip from great to excellent. We will always return to Simpson Bay Resort because my grandparents have been owners since the 80s!
