Dead cockroaches under the bed .. after a few days the rooms starts to smell like a sewer .. the staffs are rude & not helpful .. even if you guys were giving me a free night I wouldn’t stay here

The rooms are great if a bit dated, the views are awesome as well. The check in time was very very slow (it took us and hour and forty five minutes to check in). They overbooked and while we wer checking in they had told us that we might have to switch rooms on the last night which caused a little bit of anxiety as there was no communication if we were going to have to change rooms or not.

We couldn’t get beach towels before 9am which was useless for us as we are up and out of the hotel early in the morning. The days we weren’t up early and were able to be at the resort to get beach towels none were available for us to exchange our towels from day one so we had to use the same beach towels all week long.

The housekeeping doesn’t come everyday like other resorts which we found odd, even in low season.

So all in all the resort is nice, but not good for people that like to explore. It is more for people that like to stay on their resorts for the day. It’s also very hilly and requires a lot of walking to get anywhere on the resort so keep that in mind if you have mobility issues.

Staff is AMAZING really enjoyed myself. The waitstaff for breakfast was slow especially bringing coffee and water but the food was good. The bartender serving at the pool is the BEST, super friendly and nice. I can't remember her name but it begins with a M. I will definitely be back

Our stay in the villas was fantastic. The staff were great.

The rooms are slighty dated and surface level clean, but spacious and decently maintained. The beach bar has decent but limited food and the chair staff are helpful with setup, but you will get faster food and drinks walking to bar than waiting for service. The beds are firm for those that prefer but if not I suggest using blankets if you are a side sleeper and need more cushion.

Definitely a great stay for family and couple looking for a spacious stay, with beach access, and walkable to local restaurants and bars.

One of the best resorts on Simpson bay. Stayed 10 days in September 2024. Room was very nice balcony view of the bay, the villas. Daily room cleaning which we did not expect. Walkable to restaurants bars and small grocery stores markets. Great happy hour at pool or tiki bar daily don't miss the 2 for 1. What we didn't like. We had a junior suite and balcony was VERY TINY barely could sit and walk around chairs, suggest don't get the junior. 2nd no ice machine and Junior suite fridge is tiny, so no ice maker. We bought a bag of ice daily from the walkable market. We we stay again if price was right and make sure you know the room type you are getting.

Beautiful location with friendly people. We stayed at the villas and were very happy with the room. Spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast at La Patrona was amazing and the beach speaks for itself. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location, great rooms, plenty of reasonably priced restaurants nearby. The roads are awful and the parking spots at the rooms are hard to back out of. Otherwise, great value for what you get, just rent a compact car.

Simpson Bay Resort is a true paradise. The beach is absolutely perfect, offering pristine sands and crystal-clear waters. Guests have easy access to a variety of water activities and delicious local cuisine. The rooms are clean, modern, and recently renovated, providing a comfortable and stylish stay.
One of the best features is its location—just minutes from the airport, making travel a breeze. Whether you're visiting Sint Maarten for the first time or returning, I would always recommend this resort. It’s the ideal blend of convenience, comfort, and Caribbean charm
However, there are a couple of areas that could use improvement. The gym charges a fee of $6 per person per day and is only open Monday through Friday, which is restrictive for vacationers who are trying to unbig their backs . Additionally, the resort’s bingo by the pool was a huge letdown—the prize was just a drink at the bar.

Nonetheless still my favorite resort on the island

We stayed at the B-wing. The rooms were a bit dated but had all the basic amenities that we needed. The kitchen was stocked with pots and pans, toaster, microwave, blender, and full-size refrigerator. There's a small on-site supermarket as well as a larger full-service supermarket walking distance into town, so we were able to make our own breakfast and even sometimes lunch. The beach by the Pelican Bay restaurant is much better than Kim Sha Beach. it's very quiet with amazing snorkeling sites for those with their own snorkeling equipment. Overall, it was a great quiet getaway for 2 of us. ????????????????❤️

Ramon, is an awesome bartender. He remembered our names and what we drank. He made our pool experience awesome. I would highly recommend coming to pool. Great awesome fantastic fun and sooooo out of this world we will be back. I hope Ramon is still here

I went to Sint Maarten on vacation with my husband in December 2023 and again in June 2024 and both times I chose to stay at Simpson Bay Resort. It was so nice, well located, and staff is so friendly. The second time we felt at home as staff members recognized us and greeted us saying, welcome back! ???? The food is nice, we loved the breakfast and the happy hour at the beach bar. Also, they offer many tours that leave directly from their marina. If I ever go back to the island I’ll stay there again.

Amazing family experience with. 6 y/o and 6 month old, clean and up-to-date room, friendly staff, great views and good value for money. Great location near restaurants, bars and night-life. No noise pollution and ample parking for guests.

Not a luxury resort, but very nice nonetheless. and convenient for all activities!Great, helpful staff. . .on the beach and that’s always a must for me! Has 2 nice pools w/bars, but no hot tub. And 5 restaurants on premises.

I have not been to this resort in over 15 years. Coming back was nice but our room in the Villas was definitely not the best room in the Villas as my parents come each year and have had better rooms in higher floors. We stayed in 210 A and B and requested prior to not have a room on the ground floor as there is no privacy. The room has a nice view but the hotel can be noisy if other guests are loud above moving chairs, playing music, kids running around so keep that in mind. Some nights were noisier than others. Also our room is right by the maids closet so each morning around 9 they gather there and are very loud. We get to beach early so it’s no problem as we were already up but that means our room is last to be cleaned so on service days our room was not ready when we would come back from the beach around 3:30. We had to wait until 4:30 for her to finish and sat on the hot balcony as we already left the beach. Each day we were out of the room by 9 so by 3:30-4 we were ready to leave the beach. Beds were not the most comfortable either and room was dated with many nicks and scuffs in wood furniture and broken bathroom fixtures. Overall the staff were friendly, beach was clean, and the room was clean. The resort has it all from multiple pools, small casino, small deli, multiple restaurants and it is in a great location so that is why it is highly rated. If we had a higher floor away from the maid closet and our room wasn’t cleaned until the end of the day that would have taken our trip from great to excellent. We will always return to Simpson Bay Resort because my grandparents have been owners since the 80s!

Fantastic resort! |The only issue I had was the pool closes at 9pm! |Everything is beautifully maintained and centrally located.|Lots of fabulous restaurants on site or a short walk to so many options. The Peli Deli on site is great but My Market down the street has everything you may need! |Feed the iguanas lettuce lol they love it.

The resort is huge with different sides to it. I love how diverse it was, with 5 pools and restaurants that cater to your every need. The housekeeping was top notch as every single day, our room was clean and toiletries given and additional towels, bed sheets were already provided. We were short of nothing.

The resort is very nice overall but when you go to the gym, #1 you have to pay to use the gym when have already booked a room to stay in. #2 the gym equipment is very mediocre for being charged to use it . PS. Don’t use the treadmills for more than 45 minutes because they have no give and will make you feel extremely sore just some simple running.

Grand resort avec plusieurs bâtiments. Attention à la localisation de votre chambre ou studio avec vue sur mer ou pas du tout. Studio au rez-de-chaussée très humide. Vraie cuisine. Petit-déjeuner agréable et copieux dans un restaurant mexicain. Plage agréable. Nombre de places de parking insuffisant. Mauvaise connexion internet et lente. Supplément si connexion plus rapide.

I stayed here for a week in February 2024. Beautiful pools, beaches, rooms, and views! The local activities were wonderful: there was fantastic zip lining, and both a sunset cruise and a full day on a catamaran, the Lambada, with a fabulous crew, endless run punch, snorkeling, swimming, sailing, sun and fun! Shopping in Philipsburg was an adventure. Local restaurants provided delicious dinners in fun, quirky environments. Highly recommend St Maartin!
