The rooms were nice, with a spacious bathroom and good lighting. There was a coffee machine, a kettle, and a safe, but unfortunately, the minibar was empty except for water. The general interior design of the hotel was pleasant and in good condition. The room itself, as well as the rest of the hotel, was clean, with the exception of the bar tables.||However, lunch and dinner were disappointing — the food was not tasty, and some of the meat dishes were overly fatty or poorly prepared. What was worse was the service in the restaurant and bar. Food was served with thumbs in the bowl, there was no “please” or “thank you,” and the staff were generally unfriendly.||The bar service was even worse. The bartender didn’t leave the counter, took the order without saying a word or even making eye contact. It was unacceptable. Tables in the bar area were also dirty.||Reception staff were friendly, but overall, I would not recommend this hotel due to the poor restaurant and bar service.

This was a poor experience and cost VOCO some repeated business, I am afraid. The rooms are OK, clean, as expected. However - three nights in a row I, and then - 'we', with my colleagues, have been refused to have a dinner in the restaurant due to a group booking! We were offered to come at 9. Not good, especially if you are on business and have to get up really early. That group is no more than 18-20 people, and the restaurant capacity is much larger. I spoke to the restaurant questioning their approach and was told it was not to do with the number of people dining at once, it is because the restaurant had to buy all ingredients just for this group!! WHY only for this group? Why we, equally paying guests, cannot have dinner or even a snack (which I requested and was also refused) and what would happen if they had an ordinary night with a restaurant full of people, then what? This is so poor and unjustified. I am a frequent visitor so are my colleagues, travelling a lot, we have an office in Strasbourg and this was a convenient location. VOCO might have accommodated this group of tourists on this occasion, but clearly lost us, repeated guests. Just a few days ago I was telling others to stay here as its close to the station. An unexpected U-turn for us, surely. Bad move, VOCO!
