The Portuguese government did a disservice to this place by awarding it 4*. This IS NOT a four-star hotel at par with those in other countries. I noticed the same low quality in different 4* places around Portugal. Maybe the Portuguese have lowered standards compared to other nations; perhaps it's the incompetent government agendas… I don't know, but don't be fooled into thinking you'll stay in a 4* hotel.

This is a reasonable 2* hotel in a dilapidated building and feedstock with preservatives instead of breakfast. British holidaymakers on a shoestring will be satisfied :) Otherwise, avoid it. I'm not getting into minor nuisances of complicated pool towel systems, room cards not working, or waiting 30 minutes to check in because the girl at reception couldn't manage the IT system. I'm glad we left after the first night.

Very friendly & helpful staff, good selection for breakfast
Visit Lagos every year, & will always stay at this hotel
I put in a request for a certain room that I have stayed in previously, which i know cannot be guaranteed, but my request was granted, so a big thank you

O hotel é enorme e tem muitos recantos para descansar e conviver. Adorei o facto de poder desfrutar da lareira ao fim do dia. O pequeno-almoço é formidável, dos melhores onde já estive e as pessoas foram sempre formidáveis. O meu único senão é que nota-se que está um pouco parado no tempo e a precisar de obras, principalmente a piscina interna. Os cacifos estavam inutilizáveis e não havia ninguém a auxiliar. Pareceria um vestiário de um hotel abandonado… em vez de irmos dar um mergulho tivemos de voltar para o quarto. Ah e tivemos acesso ao parque descoberto de forma gratuita, o que é formidável.
