Great little hotel, just far enough away from old town square to be quiet in the evenings and only 4-5 minutes walk away.
Rooms were comfy and clean, (would say they need firmer pillows)
Breakfast was great. Staff were friendly. Would definitely stay again.

Katastrophaler Service. Nach zwei Tagen Anwesenheit wurden meine Arbeitskollegen und ich dumm angemacht. Wir wurden nicht gefragt ob wir Gäste des Hotels sind, sondern und wurde an den Kopf geworfen, dass wir nicht zum Hotel gehören. Nachdem wir das verneinten und weitergingen, kam keine Entschuldigung, sondern ein tuscheln mit den anderen Mitarbeitern. Trotzdem ist das Zimmer sehr ordentlich und sauber. Die Lage ist ebenfalls gut. Aber diese Aktion der Mitarbeiter, ohne Entschuldigung, ist nicht akzeptabel und wird ein gesamtes Unternehmen davon abholten, hier erneut eine Nacht zu verbringen.

We spent four days at Hotel Maximilian and we couldn’t be happier with our stay. The rooms are very comfortable, extremely clean, and equipped with more than enough necessities, the service is impeccable and everyone is very polite, the breakfast is great, and the location is amazing. We highly recommend it!

L'HOTEL
RECEPTION - Il personale alla reception è veramente gentile, disponibile e chiaro sia all'arrivo sia per quanto riguarda la richiesta di varie info. Fisicamente la reception è un po' risicata e non in bella vista.
POSIZIONE - L'hotel è ubicato in una via tranquillissima a 2 passi dalla piazza dell'orologio. La posizione per me è proprio da 5/5, perchè nonostante sia centralissimo, vicino ai principali punti di interesse e con molti ristoranti/bistrot/bakery la via è perfetta: appena esci ti sembra di trovarti nel posto più tranquillo del mondo.
STRUTTURA - La struttura esterna è veramente bella, in uno stile a metà tra il moderno e lo stile della città. Inoltre da quello che so è stato rifatto tutto da non molto tempo.
INTERNI - Gli interni sono eleganti, ricercati e curati, ma non pomposi e pesanti. Si vede che ogni dettaglio è pensato e studiato. Ha svariati ambienti, dal bar alla sala relax, alla zona esterna riservata, Tutti ambienti curati. L'unica critica che posso fare è relativa alla sala colazione/pranzo/cena perchè per raggiungere gli ascensori chiunque ci passa per forza in mezzo.
PERSONALE - Come già detto, personale molto cordiale ed efficiente, tanto alla reception quanto nel resto dell'hotel.
CAMERE - La camera molto bella e curata, in pieno stile del resto dell'hotel: dettagli molto ricercati, curati, con materiali di pregio.
Il letto molto grande, confortevole, ma con i cuscini decisamente troppo morbidi, tanto che pur mettendone 3 uno sopra l'altro ci si sprofonda dentro con la testa.
Il bagno è la nota veramente dolente (tra l'altro l'unica) della camera: se da un punto di vista dell'estetica e della funzionalità al suo interno è veramente il massimo, la scelta della porta è palesemente un errore di progettazione: non è una classica porta a chiusura "ermetica", bensì è una porta di vetro di design che sia nella parte dei cardini, sia nella parte della maniglia lascia un centimetro di spazio da entrambe le pareti laterali. In pratica qualsiasi cosa avvenga in bagno lo si sente nel resto della stanza, qualsiasi cosa, si sente davvero tutto, e questo può creare parecchi imbarazzi diciamo.
CIBO E BEVANDE
Abbiamo fatto una sola cena in hotel: menù parecchio neutro/internazionale ed essenziale.
Ci sono 4 piatti principali, 4 contorni e se non sbaglio 4 antipasti.
Io ho ordinato una steak con patate gratinate: sapore buono, ma carne che andava masticata e masticata e masticata prima di poterla mandare giù.
Prezzi in linea con la città.
Buona varietà nei vini, locali ed europei in generale: abbiamo provato un paio di bottiglie di Riesling (uno locale e uno tedesco) che non erano male.
Non abbiamo provato la colazione, ma quella la definirei forse eccessivamente costosa per la proposta che ha (21€ circa).
SERVIZI
Tra i servizi l'hotel propone un centro Spa, principalmente incentrato sui massaggi. Prezzi nella media.
Possibilità di usufruire del garage dell'hotel a 24€ circa al giorno: un po' difficile entrarci (ingresso molto stretto se si ha un suv), ma molto utile se si è in macchina vista la scarsità di parcheggio in giro.
CONCLUSIONE
A parte qualche miglioria che si potrebbe fare (o forse no, in fondo è un parere soggettivo il mio) l'hotel è sicuramente promosso e consigliato.

Sehr schönes kleines Boutique Hotel Mitten im Herzen von Prag. Gemütliches und komfortables Zimmer im Dachgeschoss mit schönem Blick über die Dächer von Prag. Kleines aber sehr leckeres Frühstück.

I enjoyed my stay. The minibar is free (non alcoholic) and restocked daily. There are some questionable choices in the room such as a non locking bathroom, no shower door, and a thermostat that never seemed to get the room as cool as I wanted (heat from the hallway?) without opening the window. Bed is firm which I like. Lack of a fitness room is a major turnoff. Location wise it is quite close to the old town square and close enough to the metro near the palladium mall. The restaurant was quite good, breakfast buffet was good, and La Degustation (1 Michelin star) is next door.
Edit: thank you for the information on the gym. That does make it a lot better for a traveling athlete.

Solo por la ubicación merece la pena. Además está bien la habitación, buen tamaño, buena limpieza, buen baño. Check in agil, mini bar gratuito.

Absolute divine! Absolutely loved our stay, it was perfection. I forgot to take pics, but it looks exactly like the published photos.
Why this hotel is the best:
- location in the heart of old town
- underground parking €30 per night
- Very dog friendly, we were allowed to bring our little boi, the hotel had a bowl for him, a bed and a towel which was great. You can also take your dog for a quick walk around the corner there is a dog friendly small park.
- cafe downstairs to pick a nice cup of coffee when you’re up or purchase the breakfast which we have not tried.
- The room was spotless, had all the amenities, was very comfortable and it was nice and quiet with really good insulation, it didn’t feel we were in the heart of town and had a good night sleep.
- The staff was super friendly and welcoming.
- Price was great value

Un des plus beau hôtel qu'il nous aie été donné de choisir. Déco magnifique, service proche d'un 5 étoiles. Petits déjeuners copieux avec des produits de très grande qualité. Le pain est tout simplement incroyable. Silence, propreté sans défaut. La brasserie est de très haut niveau également avec des produits haut de gamme.

Perfekt in der Josefstadt gelegen, Bars, Restaurants und die sympathischen kleinen Gassen Prags direkt vor der Haustür.
Das kleine aber wirklich sehr feine Frühstück hat mich wirklich vollends überzeugt.

On a tout simplement adoré!!!! Design, calme, propre: tout ce que l'on demande à un hôtel quand on part quelques jours pour découvrir une si belle ville!!! Nous y retournerons sans hésiter!

The Hotel Maximilian in Prague offered a unique stay that blended modern comfort with quirky charm. The décor leaned towards a minimalist style with the large windows brought in plenty of natural light. But the most unexpected amenity was the goldfish tank with a companion fish for the duration of my stay. the Maximilian's central location, friendly staff, and quirky goldfish perk made for a memorable stay in Prague.
