Fetuccini immangeable, pâtes de mauvaise qualité, trop cuites et trop salées, sauce douteuse et écoeurante. Un attrape touriste, rien d’italien.

The food was good, nothing exceptional, but the portions were small, especially for the price. My small dish of alfredo was €22. Everything on the menu was overpriced. The wait staff is exceptional and very professional as well as friendly. For the money, go to a neighborhood trattoria and get the real deal that charges half the price and will be just as good if not better. This place is more for the uninitiated tourist.

Una vez más en Roma, una vez más en Il Vero Alfredo y una vez más disfrutando de una experiencia inolvidable con buenos amigos en un ambiente acogedor, donde los Fetuchinis de Alfredo y sus ricos postres nos hicieron disfrutar de una cena excelente, amenizada con música en directo y temas de siempre, y con el mejor servicio y amabilidad de Simone y Luis. This restaurant is well known as the inventor of Fettucine Alfredo restaurant. We visited at the last night of our Rome trip.

I had a very good experience in terms of taste , atmosphere and service

The food really delicious and it is worth to come again only for this taste.

Beside the Fettucine alfredo, The lemon artichoke salad is amazing. You should try it

The waiter (Valentina) is absolutely kind and very well at her business. She was taking care of all our needs.

Atendimento do gerente muito ruim. Nos obrigou a fazer o pedido da comida, sendo que estávamos tomando vinho antes. No final trouxe a conta sem ter pedido. Por ter se tornado um ponto turístico, está supervalorizado. Encontra-se comida melhor e mais barata em outros lugares. Não recomendo.

Incredible Alfredo, a must have if you’re in Rome. It is pricy and really should not cost €22 for a small plate of Alfredo, but in my opinion it’s still a must have.

Came for the fettuccine alfredo & honestly It was so delicious I would come back for it ONLY. Gave the restaurant 3 stars simply because the service was very bad. Asked for a sparking water, it wasn’t very cold so just like any normal person would do I asked for ice a couple of times & never got it. I keep asking for basic things like a plate, olive oil.. etc but it took ages. Moreover, the waiter wasn’t paying attention to us he forgot to write done one of the starters. Was planning to stay for coffee & dessert but couldn’t stand the service which lead us to finish our food quickly & leave. This kind of service really ruins the mood given the fact that it was our last night in Rome & wanted to enjoy dinner with my husband. Last but definitely not least, I gave the atmosphere 5 stars simply because of the photo of my king which reminded me of how lucky I am to be Saudi ????????????!

Adoramos comida italiana e não víamos a hora de experimentar o verdadeiro Fettuccine Alfredo. Vale a pena, delicioso e o ambiente idem! Preços? Perfeitamente adequados, para o atual custo Itália (Euro)!!!! Não deixem de ir.

Muito boa comida e a Pasta Alfredo é mesmo a estrela do restaurante. Talvez um pouco turístico demais até pela carta de vinhos onde só tinha quase vinhos de mais de 40€ por garrafa.

The food is good. The Alfredo pasta is simple but very tasty.
Gave 3 stars because the service was so bad. It felt like the waiters were doing us a favor.
Me and my wife ordered 2 starters and tried to share a pasta, but they didn’t allowed saying that the house rules say that each must order one dish. I have never seen this in any other city in the world. They just try to squeeze everything possible from each table. The money is important, not the costumer.
Despite the food was good, I wouldn’t come back.

The "classic dish" was horrible. Just regular pasta with too much cheese no flavor. Confused on the hype. Good food prices for below average pasta my 2 year old can make. Left me hungry and mad. Save yourself the euro.

Parlare di “Alfredo” è come scrivere un pezzo della grande storia di Roma. Questo locale ha assunto nei decenni un importante posto tra i migliori locali della capitale. Meritatamente. E merito di quelle fettuccine che mani sapienti ne fanno, ancora oggi, un piatto impareggiabile. Una meraviglia assoluta. Superlative. E che hanno fatto la storia di questo locale, un tempo frequentatissimo dai vip che gravitavano a Roma. Una chicca quelle posate d’oro donate da Douglas Fairbanks e Mary Pickford per esaltare queste fantastiche fettuccine. “Alfredo”, però, non vive di gloria riflessa, ma di una luce tutta sua che non sente il trascorrere degli anni. Il ristorante all’Augusteo è ancora oggi tappa irrinunciabile per chi ama la buona cucina e i sapori veri. E quelle favolose fettuccine.

Waiters not allowing you to feel the ambiance and relax. You are a pocket with money in this restaurant not a human. I will never come back again. There is very nice and warm restaurants in Roma streets.
