Ristorante della tradizione, bisogna assolutamente andare da Checchino e godere della sua atmosfera senza tempo e delle sue delizie. Vini ottimi e splendidamente abbinati. Da tornare ogni volta che si viene a Roma.

Excellent overall experience: service, food and atmosphere. The atmosphere is that of a traditional white tablecloth restaurant, the heavy cutlery made a good impression. The service was impeccable, welcoming and forthcoming without trying to upsell you and shake you down at every turn. The food was quite good. I ordered the crostini with sparkling wine, carbonara, and calf tongue in green sauce (only because it reminded me of the one my grandmother used to make). I'd return in a heartbeat.

Uno dei miei ristoranti preferiti di cucina romana a Roma. Tradizione e cura del dettaglio sono di casa. Per me che sono un patito del quinto quarto e delle frattaglie Checchino è un vero paradiso. Ottime anche le paste romane e la scelta di vini. Consigliatissimo, ma da prenotare, trovare il n posto non è mai facile.

Ce restaurant est très joli et attirant par sa décoration ancienne. Les serveurs étaient très attentionnés et le monsieur qui servait le vin parlait français. Et l’autre serveur plus âgé était aussi très gentil et attentionné.
Mais la dame à l’accueil était antipathique et désagréable, une vieille femme qui ne serait pas sourire pour un client.
Et à un moment on aurait dit que on dérangeait car on est arrivé vers 14 h et on avait pris un assortiment de toasts et je n’avais pas encore finis que un autre serveur a débarrassé la table pour vite apporter le reste alors que on avait encore les toasts en mains. Le vin n’était pas très bon non plus malheureusement. La nourriture était bien mais rien d’extraordinaire.
