Location was fantastic, close to Grand Central and some pretty good restaurants.
The front desk staff were amazing and we were able to check in early, which was a saving grace.
The room was as expected, small. We got the queen pod. There’s basically no storage and one side of the bed had no outlets. The TV was skipping horribly and I had to weasel my hand back there to tighten the coaxial cable that had seen better days. The TV does not have a swinging mount and faces the door. HDMI ports don’t work on the TV. The windows have a jail cell vibe. For New York it was relatively quiet.
They have this bar/game room area in the lobby, but couldn’t get any food or drink there. Their computer system didn’t have the drinks in yet, and their main focus is breakfast, and they had just turned the toaster off. Our bartender was new and apologetic, but that’s a serious oversight. Not sure what the point was when you cannot order anything.
