HOTEL 99

Came here 2 weeks ago with my boyfriend and we are currently booked up for tonight ???? we absolutely enjoyed our stay here the prices are amazing, room was very clean, staff is amazing, and the location is great. I have nothing negative to say about this hotel we will always be here thank you so much! ????

I understand New York has a rat infestation. But to wake up next to to a rat while you sleep in a hotel, is terrifying to say the least. I am in shock of how filthy this hotel was. There was also dead bug flies on the bathroom ceiling and roaches ???? ????‍????everywhere. ????????????

I stayed for 2 month stay late last year and I’m so glad that I did. The room with private bathroom is very clean and service was prompt. I absolutely love the location because it’s right next to an express station. I’m very glad that I have found this short term stay and it served my digital nomading needs. Airbnb in Manhattan is an absolute nightmare to find booking dates, however studios99 was quite flexible. Kudos to Ignacio and team for their service! I would definitely research many months in advance for the cheaper rooms. The residents in my hall are quite friendly and respectful. Mostly college students or families on holiday.

One point is that it’s not luxury. I would consider this like a college dorm room but cleaner. I did miss having a kitchen but I barely cooked in my stay there, so it was fine. Getting water is a bit hard so prepare a large pitcher for yourself if the room doesn’t have a kitchen sink. The public laundry room can definitely be improved as it’s quite an old area but the machines do their function well. I would also expect city noises as it’s right next to Broadway. I wore good quality earplugs and was fine.

Mi pareja y yo nos alojamos en este hotel durante un mes hace poco, de mediados de octubre a mediados de noviembre.
Nuestra experiencia fue estupenda desde el principio. La habitacion era amplia, con microondas, nevera, dos fuegos para cocinar y un par de cazos. Tambien habia platos, vasos, tazas y cubiertos. Nuestra habitacion contaba con baño y un escritorio para trabajar. La cama fue muy comoda. Teniamos vistas a la avenida principal, era un sexto piso y aunque a veces se escuchaban las tipicas ambulancias de NY la verdad es que no era muy ruidoso.
En nuestra planta habia una cocina compartida. Nosotros no la usamos al tener ya la nuestra pero me parece muy util que haya, al igual que los baños compartidos que hay en todas las plantas.

El personal siempre fue muy amable, desde las personas que estan en recepcion a las limpiadoras, que se adaptaron para venir en los horarios que nos venian bien (la limpieza esta incluida una vez por semana).
Siempre habia alguien atentiendo en la recepcion del hotel y tambien enviamos varios paquetes de amazon durante nuestra estancia, los recogieron sin problema.

El hotel esta muy bien situado, a 3 minutos del metro de la 96th st con tres lineas disponibles (dos de ellas express, por lo que en menos de 15 min estabamos en midtown).

El wifi funcionaba bastante bien, quizas un poco lento algunos dias a partir de las 8 pm (seguramente porque hay mas gente en el hotel usandolo), pero pudimos trabajar sin problema todos los dias que estuvimos alli.

Ademas, Ignacio (uno de los responsables del hotel) fue super atento con nosotros desde el primer dia y nos iba resolviendo cualquier duda a traves del email.
Tenemos pensado volver otro mes el año que viene.

Hotel99 has surpassed our expectations in each\every regard and I, as a parent of a college student, strongly recommend this place and the overall services they provide.
The staff from the front desk to housekeeping is omnipresent and responsive.
