Nous sommes venus au restaurant (pas dans la partie hôtel). Excellente cuisine, service aux petits oignons. Nous nous sommes régalés et nous reviendrons ! Merci à l'équipe !

Nous venons de passer , ma compagne et moi-même, 8 jours au grand hôtel de valloire.|Outre sa situation exceptionnelle, à 100m des œufs conduisant sur les pistes, son parking privé, et sa grande terrasse plein sud pour profiter du soleil au retour du domaine skiable, nous avons vraiment passé une semaine incroyable....|Chambre spacieuse et confortable, accueil et réception d'un professionnalisme sans égal. |Buffet petit déjeuner très complet .|Mais nous voudrions surtout mettre en exergue le repas du soir , menu 4 services amuse bouche, 2 choix d'entrées, plat principal, fromage et dessert concocté par le chef de cuisine qui toute la semaine durant met en valeur les produits locaux .|Tout cela , orchestré de main de maître par Marie, Amalia et Baptiste...|Trio de choc pour des fins de soirées gastronomiques , que du bonheur....|Un grand merci à toute l'équipe du grand hôtel de valloire de nous avoir fait passer une semaine inoubliable...|Fabienne et Olivier

We had a lovely stay at the Grand Hotel in Valloire. We are a couple and traveled with our friends who are also a couple for a weeks skiing, half board booked through Crystal Ski.
This hotel has everything you need, the location is perfect with everything such as ski lift, slopes and shops a short walk. The staff a very friendly, kind and extremely helpful with a lot of them being family members.

The hotel is not modern but it is traditional in a lovely old building, it is spotless everywhere with a lovely central fireplace which is lite at 7pm each night, there's a cozy sun room which I'd imagine is beautiful in the summer but just as nice in the winter months being able to look out on the falling snow.

The food is phenomenal, I don't think I have ever eaten such wonderful tasting and presented food. One of our party is gluten intolerant and they were extremely accommodating, the staff knew what he could and couldn't eat and would either provide the same dish simply without the gluten or suggest an alternative.

There are individual lockers for your ski equipment with a communal heated boot rack if you want but this is all locked over night and only accessed by hotel guests so still feels secure.

If you're looking for new and modern this is not it but in fact better, being traditional, 5 generations of family run and owned, clean, centrally located, friendly, accommodating and homely. I highly recommend this hotel and hope to return in the summer on year.

I highly recommend this hotel and hope to return in the summer on year.||Food and drinks|Amazing! 4 courses with an aperitif to start, (so more like 5) the beef fillet was so tender and my favourite meal. If you're not keen on the set menu there are 3 alternatives to choose from for each course which stays the same each day. You can also choose the skip a course. Bar snacks were often supplied with our drinks as well.||Walkability|One of the main lifts is over the road and a very short, easy walk, the lupins blue run back to resort also ends here so the same walk to get back at the end of the day.|The walk to the main shops, restaurants and bars is about 100m on the flat. The lift pass office is in the centre of the Main Street and a 5 min walk from the hotel.||Rooms|The rooms are spacious with plenty of storage options, beds are very comfortable with spare pillows and blankets. A separate toilet to the shower room, the shower is quite small but hot and powerful with a heater towel rail. Lovely warm rooms, nice views and handy plug sockets and a shelf at the head of the bed.
