I am writing to express my deep disappointment and dissatisfaction with the service I received during my recent stay at the Intercontinental Lyon. Despite the hotel's reputation as a five-star establishment, I encountered several significant issues that have left me with a negative impression of the hotel and its management.
Firstly, upon checking in, I found that the safety box in my room was out of battery and had not been checked prior to my arrival. This lack of attention to detail is unacceptable, as it compromised the security of my personal belongings. Such oversights reflect poorly on the hotel's commitment to guest satisfaction.
Furthermore, my check-out experience was equally frustrating. When I approached the front desk, there was only one staff member present who seemed preoccupied with a phone call. This lack of sufficient staff resulted in a delay in the check-out process, inconveniencing me and causing unnecessary frustration.
Moreover, when I finally had the opportunity to inform the staff that I had left my room key with another employee and requested that they send me the bill via email, I was met with incompetence. Despite being a loyal program member and having provided my email address during check-in, the staff claimed they were unaware of my email information. This lack of basic communication and organization is deeply disappointing and undermines the professionalism expected from a hotel of this caliber.
To make matters worse, when I received the billing via email, I discovered several inaccuracies. I was wrongfully charged for items from the minibar, despite not having consumed anything from it. Additionally, I was billed for room service that I did not order or receive. These errors further highlight the hotel's lack of attention to detail and disregard for guest satisfaction.
While I acknowledge that the Intercontinental Lyon is housed in a beautiful historical building, I cannot overlook the glaring shortcomings in management and service that I experienced during my stay. As a result, I am reconsidering my loyalty to this brand and will be seeking accommodations from more reliable and reputable establishments in the future.

Excellent hôtel à la hauteur de ses 5 étoiles.
J’ai eu l’occasion de prendre une suite junior.
Chambre magnifique, services au petits soins, facilité pour se garer avec espace et chauffeur à l’entrée.
Le petit plus : la bouteille de champagne à l’arrivée dans la chambre.

We spent three nights in the hotel. The building is magnificent. The location is very strategic. The staff were nice and helpful, too. The drawback, though, is the housekeeping. We found out in the shower that the shower gel bottle was empty, which meant poor housekeeping for such an essential element in the shower. We waited to see if the bottle would get changed in the other night, but no. They proved us right since we seriously expected the bottle to stay the same. Anyway, we finally got bored and asked for it, not through the room telephone but instead from my mobile because the telephone was not working. We called them asking to fix it, but again, we seriously expected they would not, and they didn’t! Regardless of this, it’s a beautiful place to stay at. We hope they get better.

很漂亮又華麗的飯店!隱私也做的很到位,電梯 各樓也有房禁。 河景房很讚???? 1樓的酒吧空間超寬敞,調酒很有名,可以去嘗試看看!

We had a loft suite overlooking the river. It was super quiet and very comfortable.
You are close to the old town and all of the great restaurants and shops.

Chambre spacieuse mais fade. Rien d exceptionnel à attendre de la chambre.
Le bar lui est un endroit sympa mais il ferme tôt. Le restaurant est bien mais pas au niveau de la réputation de l Intercontinental . Bien sûr c est bon…

Très bel hôtel. Le bâtiment en lui même vaut le détour. Chambre spacieuse confortable et silencieuse. Pour nous c était une vue à l arrière du bâtiment, vue sur Fourvière. Personnel très agréable.

Implanté dans le magnifique cadre historique de l'Hôtel Dieu, restauré de façon magistrale, le nouvel hôtel Intercontinental bénéficie d'un cadre exceptionnel.
L'hôtel lui-même est également exceptionnel : la bar dans le Dôme, à la fois historique et contemporain, est inoubliable, le petit-déjeuner dans le cloître est formidable et la chambre 1er prix plus que convenable par sa décoration, sa surface et sa salle de bains.
Une belle expérience.
