I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at a restaurant in Lyon, and I must say that it was far from satisfactory. Here are a few reasons why I would not recommend this establishment:

1. The chicken liver pudding was a complete disappointment. Not only was it lacking in balancing flavor, but it also had an unpleasant texture. To make matters worse, I found sand in the pudding, which was a rather unpleasant surprise.

2. The behavior of the waitress left much to be desired. Instead of providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere, she treated non-French-speaking patrons with utter rudeness. It's disheartening to see such poor customer service in a supposedly reputable establishment.

3. The wine pairing service was subpar. One would expect that when changing wines, the staff would provide fresh glasses to enhance the tasting experience. However, this was not the case. The lack of attention to detail in such a fundamental aspect of dining was truly disappointing.

4. The exorbitant prices for both the food and the wine pairing were simply not justified. At a staggering Euro 150 per person for the food alone, and an additional Euro 50 for the wine pairing, one would expect a truly exceptional culinary experience. Sadly, the quality of the food and service did not live up to the steep price tag.

5. The final dish served was a haphazard combination of leftovers from previous courses. It felt like the chef simply threw everything together to hastily conclude the dinner. This lack of creativity and attention to detail is unacceptable for a restaurant that claims to offer a high-quality dining experience.

Overall, my visit to this restaurant in Lyon was an underwhelming and regrettable experience. From lackluster dishes to poor service and exorbitant prices, it failed to meet even the basic standards of a decent restaurant. I would strongly advise against wasting your time and money at this establishment.

Tout était parfait : accueil et service souriant et professionnel, Menu dégustation parfaitement équilibré et succulent, de très bons vins...et Dog friendly en plus. N'hésitez pas vous passerez un bon moment.

Une excellente adresse. C’est la deuxième fois que l’on vient et nous avons eu le plaisir de découvrir des plats que nous n’aurions pas osé ailleurs et qui étaient délicieux. Le tout avec un service très agréable et souriant. Merci !

Le service est aimable et le cadre a beaucoup de cachet. Les assiettes sont bien présentées mais malheureusement nous avons été déçues par les saveurs et les prix sont trop élevés. Deuxième expérience dans ce restaurant, décevante, comme la précédente.

Cuisine excellente, cadre très beau. La petite vue sur la cuisine est particulièrement sympa. La cuisine est raffinée, goûtue, originale. On a adoré le midi le menu entrée-plat-dessert, qui vaut vraiment le coup. Le menu du soir à 82 euros, me semble-t-il, doit aussi être excellent. Le personnel est en plus aussi très agréable.

Parfait ???? accueil / lieu / déco / service / carte des vins / plats / menus …. Gentillesse proximité …clins d’oeils … tout ce kon aimerait vivre pour chaque repas au restaurant ????????⭐️⭐️⭐️

Belle expérience gustative

To say it was great would be an understatement. This historical jewel is a top notch culinary voyage. I was fortunate to partake in a multi-course lunch completely curated by the head chef himself, which also included wine pairings. Everything from the amuse bouche to the main course and dessert was a discovery that juxtaposed tradition with contemporary arrangements. I would definitely recommend Chez Pimousse.
