We obviously were left with no other options than to pay for a much more expensive hotel instead of an apartment as we would have been left homeless otherwise.
Booking.com gave us only a 60€ credit for the difference to pay even though the hotel we booked was over 100€ more expensive and has obviously no kitchen or means of making food for ourselves.
